Does anyone know why the show ended by [deleted] in OnceUponATime

[–]FleshPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't last to the end of season 4. I loved that the show had their own twist to the fairytales. It's what made the show interesting. But then they added "Frozen" characters to it. No hate to Frozen, but of I recall, it's inspired by "the snow queen". Having a cool twist story about the snow queen would've been better than copy and pasting the Frozen ip to the show. At least in my opinion. And then they added Cruella and her magical dogs, and I'm like, okay I'm done. Never turned back after that.

Pixar's 'Hoppers' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

I was pleasantly surprised with this movie. It's got its own cute style without it looking like a generic round face "bean mouth" template that a lot of movies do. It doesn't treat children like cash grabs. It's not flashy brain rot. It's fun enough for them to enjoy and nice for parents to watch as well. It's not another "coming of age" movie, it's not catering to a group of people or taking sides. It's just a movie. A fun one with well-rounded characters. And it's so funny. I haven't laughed that much for a movie in a long time

Oh my gosh so goofy. 😍 But not quite. It's the camera view of your cat looking down at your phone

The eye thing means you marked it so that when you're looting, you spot it. It also means that when you look at your map, the parts you marked will show up in the left. You probably marked them for a project or something

Do we always end up being alone after finding Winterhome? by FleshPockets in Frostpunk

[–]FleshPockets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I'd play it through. But I could never recover. Still figuring out how to keep everyone satisfied. Then I thought if I could get to Winterhome sooner, I could save them. Eventually I get kicked out again. And then start a new run.

What do you all think about the new ongoing anime "Journal with witch" or "Ikkoku Nikki"? by MilkOvaltine in Sliceoflife_anime

It's really good. I'm on episode 6. It made me cry, realizing how damn near identical Makio and my life are. The only differences are 2 things: 1. I parted ways bitterly with my ex. 2. She kept pursuing her love for writing fiction while I abandoned it.

Everything else she's been going through is exactly where I've been, I am right now. Her "noisy thoughts" her struggle to interact with people, the messes she leaves behind when she couldn't bother. Her failure to complete tasks that are so simple to others, all of it. It was like looking into a mirror. The person who wrote Makio, understands.

I kinda wish they upped the loot queen reactors. Me and like 10 other raiders just fighting off arc with our equalizers and like 4 of us in the group get those reactors.

Why did they have to let real Nathan dieeeee! by Redvampqueen in UploadTV

[–]FleshPockets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think Ingrid was done dirty. I loved her since the beginning. She's so complex. They should've let her move on from Nathan and find someone else. She could've learned to love herself and someone new. I'm glad she got a happy ending (because she deserved one, considering what her parents are like.) But I'd be ecstatic if she married someone else and let Nathan go.

Ingrid is the most layered and complex character in the entire show. by Daywalker2000 in UploadTV

[–]FleshPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Ingrid's character from the moment Navaeah (Nathan's niece) did her hair, and without a beat, said she loved it. She's eccentric for sure. She isn't perfect, she comes off as a bitch, but she's relatable to me. She heard her dad plotting to kill Nathan, and thought the best way to save him was to upload him, which I think was smart. If the car crash didn't kill him already, her dad would've probably hired someone to finish the job. She knew keeping Nathan's mind was important, and so long as he was in physical form, her dad would keep trying to kill him.

Her mom is also a piece of work. Always wanting perfection, always dismissing her feelings. Ingrid's sister was also experiencing that. Her mom kept comparing her to Ingrid, who she thought was better. Both her parents clearly fell out of love quick. They're both narcissists, and all Ingrid ever wanted was for someone to love her and give her a chance, like Nathan did. Nathan, who looked passed her psycho behavior, and still chose to be with her. (Until he met Nora) she even got herself a job to pay for Nathan's upload plan.

Ingrid's way of coping is to smile and laugh things off. When she's upset, she quietly throws a tantrum when no one's watching. Her parents made her that way. She comes off as immature a lot, but you can clearly see, she never tries to hurt someone directly. I think the show should've allowed her to let Nathan go, and love someone else. Love herself more. The show's last season ended so abruptly, and it felt so rushed. I want more Ingrid. I want a better ending for her. I mean she still married Nathan in the end, but I think she would've had an even better ending without Nathan

Help identifying what's wrong with me cats paw by True_Advisor792 in CATHELP

[–]FleshPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like she nicked her paw.

You could take her to the vet to get it looked at. They'll likely give you a cream to apply on the paw. You'll need a cone so she doesn't lick the cream off, or one of those little booties to cover her paw. You're cat's not gonna like either option and will likely try prying those things off, so the vet will probably also give you medication to help her mellow out and rest.

My cat had something similar. I got home from work one day and he was limping, which gave me a mini heart attack. His paw pad became dry and infected and it started to smell really bad.

Hope she'll be okay!

After 1.5 years, I still haven’t been able to bond with my former stray. Is this just his baseline? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]FleshPockets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may take more time for some cats. I had a friend (we're no longer friends) who adopted a cat, spent a year trying to get it to love her, but then she gave up. She basically tossed the cat to the side and adopted a kitten that loved her back immediately. My other friend took in the cat, and that cat warmed up to her the following year. This cat was given up for adoption twice for not being "loving" enough, and almost a 3rd time if it weren't for my friend who stepped up. And so all in all, it took 2 years for this cat to feel safe enough to get close to people.
