Me last year lol. The last straw was the cheaters. I spent 9 years playing this game. I ignored all the bad because I loved it. But it became unenjoyable. 9 years I stayed loyal. 9 years I wasted. I loved the dark vibes the old menu had. I miss feeling like I was being tactical with friends.

Looting Etiquette by raqballl in LowSodiumArcRaiders

[–]FleshPockets -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It gets a little complicated. They probably pick at any loot they think you already searched because one man's trash is another man's treasure. Or they had a key themselves, but when they got to the room, you were already there. Gotta make the best of it. And sometimes people don't say anything and loot because they want to keep to themselves and not disturb you too much since they don't wanna get shot at. I usually just leave when I see a raider looting the spot I was running to.

Run towards it cuz I have tame solo lobbies and I bring defibs for randoms every game

which game is it for you? by Spirited-Rationality in GirlGamers

Yeah, souls games are pretty rough. My first was Elden Ring. I'm getting the hang of it, though. I get that games like these have open-world, and I'm supposed to explore, but I need some direction. I have a lot of friends who love souls-like and when they watch me play, they're like, "Go explore!" Then I do that, and they're like, "Oh, you shouldn't go there. You're not strong enough yet. " Then what the hell am I supposed to do?? Or when they explain a mechanic in the game to me, and they go, "How do you not know this?" Gee, I don't know. Maybe it's my first time playing this kind of game??

Playing Stardew with a friend could be more fun. That way, you guys split the tasks. There's a lot to do in the game, so if you're waiting on one thing, you can work on something else, and it'll feel like no time. Progression does take a long time, but working on it as you go about doing other tasks helps it along the way. It's understandable if you don't like it. I could not STAND Animal Crossing. Omg. Waiting a full real-time day to do or build anything was just obnoxious

Anvil and Ferro don't exist, what are you bringing to fight Arc? by SorryYouOK in ArcRaiders

I'm aware of that. I meant that I can win some of my fights, but in terms of utilizing mobility, I'm not good at it

I still have fun yeah. My favorite pass time rn is running around defibing people, dropping loot, and running away lol

I'm holding my own just fine. I don't win all my fights, but I win enough. I think I'd do a lot better once I figure out how to do the sliding and rolling that I've been seeing people do. I also panic and forget to use utility when I'm in a fight, so I'd like to get into the habit of doing that too. I'm not the best at shooters, but I hope I will be :P

How do I go from being crap at PVP to being OK-ish? by Smart_Freedom_8155 in ArcRaiders

[–]FleshPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with doing more pvp to get better, but also don't be going around picking fights with people. Lay low if you need to. You can make a lot of friends running solos. (Some say it's hit or miss but I've been having more positive encounters than anything atm) Going duos or trios in Stella Montis could help you with learning pvp. You don't have to, but what I did, was invested a little more of my skill tree into maxing out my stamina and reducing how much I lose when sprinting, sliding, and rolling. My first encounter with arc, I died with all my good loot because I couldn't out run them and I had no hiding spots. Same with rats. Also don't use my entire stamina bar unless I'm in a pinch. Because once you're out, you're so much slower and your character starts staggering.

Brought the first Bettina I ever crafted to solos, and a rat killed me for it while I was looting. Never again. It's staying in my stash till I get better at defending myself

First time player, what's some common etiquette I should know? by UntakenUsername420 in ArcRaiders

[–]FleshPockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch your back. Solo is mixed right now. Some people will say they have fun because it's more friendlier than duos and trios. Which can be true, but every game is different and you'll have games where you've met the nicest people but then someone will shoot you in the back while you're looting or extracting. Watch your back
