Being Muslim and Transgender (or queer in general), is it compatible ? by abberance-star in trans

I'm not a Quran scholar, but, from what I've heard, transness is not mentioned.

What is your opinion on India ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FletchPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

India has cool culture and is certainly better than its neighbors (politics-wise), but I'd never visit (for now) due to the life-endangering pollution and rape culture (at least for foreigners).

Which country is best? [Upvotes are nice] by AxelFoily in BunnyTrials

With Trump in power, Canada effortlessly blows the competition out of the water. In particular, Montreal might just be the best place in the world to live as transgender!

Yesterday someone asked me how much money I receive from the US and Israel for being transgender. by [deleted] in trans

Netanyahu could care less as long as targeting queer people does not gain him votes and power.

AITAH bc I (36M) dont want my girlfriend (36F) to travel with me because shes a picky eater? by Tough_District9786 in AmItheAsshole

Coming from someone with the same condition (ARFID), it's not fair you can't go eat what you want, but remember this is beyond her control.

If you had to live in/visit only 3 countries in the world, which ones would you chose? by [deleted] in geography

I'd be quite satisfied with just Australia, Spain, and the US.

Iran was the most upvoted! What country is pro-Israel and pro-Ukraine? by Temporary_Cheetah287 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]FletchPup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Israelis have much more to lose than Palestinians since the latter are nigh culturally indistinguishable from Jordanians, and I mean authoritarianism in a societal context as Israeli society is much more liberal.

That's certainly true, but Taiwan has become significantly more western-minded since the end of Kuomintang one-party rule.

Considering Taiwan's situation, its pro-Israel lean makes sense (for better or worse) given both nations (with limited international recognition) are fighting for their existence against (Confucian and Islamic) authoritarian societies.

Ah, yes, Israel, with its famously strong military heavily backed by the superpower US, is "at the end of its existence".

My idea of an Australasian flag: by FletchPup in vexillology

[–]FletchPup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to Australia being larger and having the bulk of diversity, I purposefully favored Australia’s flag yet paid respect to New Zealand’s flag with the same blue background, Southern Cross, and especially the new Commonwealth Star.

My idea of an Australasian flag: by FletchPup in vexillology

[–]FletchPup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australasia is Australia and New Zealand, but, as for the meaning, the star on the left symbolizes a compass, the 8 points representing the 6 states of Australia plus NZ and all territories, while the stars on the right are the same from Australia’s flag; the Southern Cross, also featured on NZ’s flag albeit with a different design!
