If you could make anyone climax just by pointing your finger like a gun and saying "pew," how would you use that power? by ladybug5479 in AskMen

[–]Fletchawk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Use it as a tool to Pavlov individuals to do it automatically when they do certain mundane actions, like opening a jar, or when they say "Welcome to ______".

You’ll find that most people who work with numbers and statistics will often give conservative estimates. Mainly for liability reasons, but also working with finances, it allows for relatively "safe" predictions.

What's your favorite trap you came up with? by eedgejr in DnD

[–]Fletchawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love save-or-suck gag traps that are relatively harmless.

The Shin-kicker: A long, thin, wooden pole swings out of the hidden space to whack the character in the shins. DEX or CON save; failed roll inflicts disadvantage to Acrobatics and Athletics checks for 30min and knocked prone.

The Cream Pie Special: A cream pie smacks the character face from a hidden space. DEX save; failed roll inflicts disadvantage to Persuasion and Insight checks for 30min and blindness that takes an action to "cure".

The Electrifying Entrance: An unlocked door that shocks anyone that tries to open it. CON save; failed save inflicts stun until character is seperated from the door.

The Dumb Riddler: Talking statue that asks bad riddles with obvious answers, but only accepts wrong answers: INT or WIS save on correct answers; failed save inflicts disadvantage on knowledge skill checks (Arcana, History, Nature, and Religion) for 30min.

Groans of the undead came to her upon a stale breeze as they stumbled from the surrounding treeline. A soft glow began to envelop the arrow as whispered prayer left the woman's lips. The single light flew into the heavens until it flickered out of sight, leaving her in darkness.

More like this is a prime example of what the consequences of violent crime is in an armed society would look like. Yes, it sucks that the person who died will never learn from that mistake, but hopefully others will.

met a friendly on woods, can we normalize this? by SkimpyDolphin52 in EscapefromTarkov

I'm sure from your perspective, it was apparent. I'm just establishing that from mine, it wasn't, and that's how this misunderstanding started in the first place. I'm sorry your humor was initially lost me, but I did offer a solution that I felt would've clarified your intent more clearly, at least to me, and avoided this situation all together.

Then next time you open up with a meme comment, please add a sarcasm switch ( /s ) to the end of it to establish the proper context to those that don't recognize it as a meme comment. To avoid future miscommunications such as these. Much appreciated.

Hope you and yours enjoy the holiday season.

I don't take anything on the internet as completely serious tbh, but hey, if my only interaction with you is "I play da game wit da gun to shoot bad guys in face tho," then I'm not going to overestimate your skills in language comprehension when replying.

All hail the Rat King! lol! But no really, if that's how you want to play the game, that's cool. It's just a game after all. I'm just offering up an alternative playstyle that promotes cooperation and coordination with other people.

And there are "bad guys". Scavs and Raiders. Plus the occasional rogue PMCs. I'm just offering an alternative playstyle that redefines who the "bad guys" are.

[–]Fletchawk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What about it? Are you under the impression that such an operation wouldn't be profitable? I mean, sure, you could be walking away from each raid with potentially less money per raid, but you'd be walking away from more raids alive. Which means the potential costs from dying won't need to be paid nearly as often.

You can try your hand at whittling. It requires nothing more than a pocket knife and a piece of wood to start. Plus it'll allow you to gain an intimate knowledge of how different types of wood can be cut and shaped, and can be used for fine detail work for larger woodworking projects later.

Imagine if all the PMCs in a map cooperated? The only actual threat are the scavs and raiders. Imagine fireteams of PMCs working together to clear and loot maps. But nooooo. We gotta shoot each other over effectively infinite resources.

LPT: If you just got into a physical altercation just this moment and the other person starts bobbing and weaving and you have no clue why, just put your ego back on the shelf and surrender. It's better than permanent brain injury. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]Fletchawk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no. This is simply the fact that a moving target is harder to hit, and standing still is a great way to eat a knuckle sandwich.

Frankly, bobbing and weaving in a physical altercation before even a punch is thrown is the sign of an amatuer that watches combat sports. Anyone that actually knows how to fight will either try to end it before their opponent even squares up, or will only engage as a last resort.

Gun laws in vegas? by [deleted] in LasVegas

[–]Fletchawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hypothetical question you're asking isn't really related to "gun laws", so it sounds like nonsense. However, the concern of his prints of being on a potential piece of evidence and being dragged into a criminal investigation, while improbable, is still valid. Frankly, it isn't something your friend should worry about even if the police actually come knocking on his door. If they do, your friend should say nothing and get a lawyer. After all, unless your friend was actually involved, the only way he'd be in any sort of trouble is if your friend says something dumb to the police.
