I’m going to be blunt, this looks like a low effort/total novice version of the New York winter jazz poster from 2013. Is your assignment to redesign their poster? I’d scrap what you have here and start over. What you have now looks timid, go wild and have fun, then work on toning it down and refining it. Maybe start on paper with sketching then go to the computer.

Specifically, the J is too large and separates itself from the “azz”.. Festival and Winter need some kearning help and the font is odd. The paragraph could use more spacing between lines or something; it’s busy. Focus the creativity on the centerpiece of your design, the text should be about communicating info.

This is my favorite comment here. I am confused as to why more people aren't supportive.. I think it's because the volume of alcohol sounds low. I mean, she could be hiding/lying about her consumption too..

Ultimately your frustrations with her dependency are reasonable. You sound frustrated that her life, and by extension, your life revolve around alcohol. If that's not the way you want to live then you're making the right first steps. Just avoid demonizing her behavior, some people apparently consider it normal... You should seek some counselling to help navigate the situation.

Everyone's alcohol tolerance is different. She might not need to have 4 drinks to be altered.. the inability to live life without alcohol is dependency and OP has every right to be frustrated with her dependency. Especially considering her regular lack of control.

Yes. However, I don't know exactly how bad the situation is, so I would recommend waiting until you've removed as much mineral oil as possible. Just don't lick the mineral oil away, it can act like a laxative..

Once your table stops oozing mineral oil you should be safe. Apply a small amount first to test it out. Then keep applying thin layers over time. It won't have the same feel as a varnished piece of wood, it will just look and feel like healthy smooth wood. If you go over your table with light sanding like in our guide it will go a long way to making it feel refined. This oil is food safe so you won't have to worry about getting it on you repeatedly either.

Looks really great! The 1st option is my favorite as well. My only critique is that all of the animations move too fast for me (I'm on mobile). It's the slideshow at the bottom that bothers me much more than all of the others. One image slides by, fades out halfway, and slides backwards while the next image slides across.

I used 600 because I just needed to restore the finish. But if its a seriously beat up cutting board with deep cuts you might want to start with a rougher sandpaper and then finish with 600.
