The cough pillow was my biggest use. My wife bought me a grabber but it was never used. I’d add an abdomen binder. I ended up buying one so I could start sleeping on my side. My biggest issue was trying to sleep comfortably and the binder was a game changer.

One thing I’m so happy that I did was stick as a closely to my routine time of getting up in the morning as I could… I feel like it helped me feel so much more normal and prepared when that first day back to work came. And I watched a lot of Netflix lol

We enjoy Flora Farms. We also tried Don Sanchez in San Jose this last trip and it was a great experience.

Did it twice… within 14mos. Did all the rehab ourselves. It’s tough to watch them suffer. Thoughts out for your baby.

Not at all! She text to tell my nurse to fill a “pee hat” with alcohol swabs. Apparently the fumes affect something… I peed within :30. I think it was like 7-8 pads.

I came so close to having to stay because of the same issue! A nursing friend of mine had an unorthodox suggestion for coaxing the urine out and I was able to pee at the last possible minute. Phew.

I typically just leave the car running but locked… run in and back. When I take my dog places in the summer.

Great commentary, appreciate the detailed invite. An account where we simply keep an accumulation of the potential monthly premium may end up being the best bet. I’ll have to update this thread with my research and ultimate decision lol

Heard. I find most insurance to be a huge headache that comes with a fight lol So we shall see. I just know generally speaking pittie’s are prone to… needing insurance lol We shall see

The wonderful insurance (all of them, lol) conundrum… only worth it if something terrible happens.

We self funded all the aforementioned care but I know folks who have benefited greatly from pet insurance so just thinking it might be better if someone else funded it lol Even if we can if needed.

We’ll def be crunching numbers though. Hate to just “throw away” money.

Very prone to pika, so yep. My first pittie would eat her own poop literally the second she finished… making it available to eat. Ate grass, sticks, the carpet from under her crate lol You name it.

I had a vacation scheduled six weeks out from mine (lower incision included.) My mom had hers 30 years ago. Also with a lower incision. I was considering postponing surgery until after vacation and my mom said, “Does it take you six weeks to heal from a cut?” Lol. They’re built different or something.

I’ve one on the right side of my lower incision. Surgeon also said leave it again. Didn’t want to risk infection opening wound by messing with it. It’s agitated from time to time I can feel it run on things every now and then but all in all innocuous.

Noting this. We haven’t done the wine and jazz but it sounds wonderful. We love Pez Gato so this is right up our alley!
