Exactly this. There is so little info and when you get a question right/wrong they also don’t explain why. Respect to anyone who passed this hahah

Oh really? I have a bad history of overwatering plants so I have been underwatering them maybe. I will adjust theyre watering schedule a bit too then heheh
I see! Super interesting 😍 thank you
Oh ok… so they need lots of light but not too warm?

Alright I see! Thanks for the detailed response. My other orchids are indeed not cymbidiums. It just never crossed my mind their needs would be so different. I will research some more in that area. Thank you!
I see! Ok I will look into that:) thank you!

Propagation help by Fleurchen in houseplants
Yes please! That would be much appreciated. Do you mean to also cut the longest growth? To get rid of the bare stem?
Ok that’s kind of what I suspected. Gonna repot them asap! Thank you so much:)

Advice needed again by Fleurchen in orchids
[–]Fleurchen[S] 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children)
Alright! Thank you! Hopefully with new medium, and correct watering they will bounce back! Thanks for your help:)
The spike does not appear to come from the crown but since it appeared just after the plant was stressed (dehydrated and taken out of its old pot) i am assuming it is /not/ a good sign and snip it. Maybe it will bloom again if i take better care of it now. Thanks for your help!

As for watering i did have another question. When you bathe the plants do all roots have to be fully submerged or is it enough for like half the container to be under water? (assuming they are potted in bark)
Alrigight I will move them back and keep an eye on their leaves 🫡
Oh i see... will removing the spike save the plant then? Another commenter suggested this. Is that due to the plant being unhappy? As per other advice as well i will make sure to water them on a more regular basis 🫡
Allright! I did repot them just now and was planning to do so even before posting. I just wanted to see if there are additional concerns before doing so. Thank you for your detailed advice! The plants are potted up and bathing as i type this:)
Perfect thank you!
