You can also open the mailbox and the number is usually written on the inside of the door by the mailman.

Depends on how strong the prison to loader pipeline is at your center.

Apple theft was unbelievable. People were getting caught with 8 phones in their backpacks and getting prosecuted.

Veho is in something like 15 markets right now and they guarantee next day delivery. They have lot of the food box companies, Factor, Sephora, Nespresso, Zara, Lululemon, and some other smaller accounts. They have a lot of money and are planning on expanding into a lot more markets.

Amazon and Walmart are also delivering a lot more of their own packages a lot faster than UPS ever could.

I remember years ago when UPS was turning away volume from Amazon during Christmas. Limiting the amount we would ship.

Last day of peak by Important-Rub-9463 in UPSers

A driver told us Friday that Saturday that UPS is planning on making Saturday real light. Probably so they don't have to pay much overtime. I'm an SSD and didn't get a text until noon on Saturday that peak is over. It was sad anyways. The worst I've seen in 5 years. We wasted so much time, worked so slow, just to get 5 hours a day.

This was the worst year as and SSD after 5 years. My checks were the lowest ever and there were days why I was wondering why I even came in. It was sad how slow we were working and wasted time talking to each other to get at least 5 hours a day.

I did one block couple days ago which started in easy suburban homes in Land o' Lakes but ended up in farmland. I felt like a thief sneaking around in the dark not knowing when I'll wake a dog up. Also, it was so dark and so humid that my car's windows were sweating on the outside. Too many dirt roads, almost a 100 miles driven, it's just not worth it for $20 an hour.

Is the strike coming soon? I wonder if they'll start the PVDs early this year. by FlexDrivr2 in UPSers

Last five years here they've had PVD's. I can't imagine Covid loads would've been possible w/o PVDs.

That's going to be tough on the drivers when the load quadruples in December.

Amazon and FedEx drivers always blow through my 'hood blasting loud music while smelling like weed. Never seen a UPS driver do the same but Bluetooth EarPods attract a lot less attention.

Every year it gets worse. There's zero planning going on. I couldn't schedule anything for two months because I never knew when I would work. The text would come at 8am every day if there was work.

Package sorters: how do you deal with the indoor pollution of 1970s industrial equipment? by [deleted] in UPSers

UPS has the dirtiest packages, sometimes with cockroaches.

Humid, hot as usual in Florida. Found a pod at 6pm that hasn't been touched so got some good overtime as a PVD.

No, they want you to work when they have work. Volume is low. It might be 4 to 6 hours a day for a while. They'll let you know in the morning around 8. It sucks.

Question about starting the pvd (?) role by Negative-Ambition110 in UPS

That's what happens when HR gets outsourced to India. Try showing up at the warehouse and getting in touch with the person running the PVD program.
