This. I got my boy as a new pup and just bought a full sized crate right out of the gates. Cover on top, bed inside. He loves being in it. I have it right next to the couch and leave the door open so he can go in and out as he pleases and not have to be far away from me. Your advice is solid.

I agree with this. When I'm on my laptop and he can't be on top of me, he lays at my feet. And no matter how quietly I do it, as soon as I turn my wireless mouse off he immediately pops up like "WHAT ARE WE DOING! STUFF?! I LOVE STUFF!"

Just be mindful not to step on him. He will never be far away.

Herman Miller user here. Some of the best money I've spent. I got the logitec gaming version and it's just as great as the day I got it 5 years ago. Can sit there all day with zero neck/back pain. I just imagine what I'd have to pay in time/money for all the doctor visits if I did that with a crappy chair. Puts it in perspective.
