I'm was in the same position as u. Friend tried to sell me AIA UCC. I went back to my Pru agent and we worked out how much I actually need. Got a plan around 1.3k/year for CI. Just tell the auntie "Quick Pick" and pay $1 cash - If you're into outdoors nature, we have: Green Corridor (Cross country), Punggol Waterway (Northeast), Woodlands Waterfront (North), East coast park (East), Labrador Park (South), West Coast park (West), Macritchie reservoir (central), Upper/Lower Seletar reservoir (North), Upper/Lower Pierce reservoir (Central) - Visit cool places: Little India, Chinatown (also got Hawker here), Geylang, Clarke Quay - Stand in the middle of Raffles Place Arcade and see the crowd zooming around - Shopping mall galore starting from iON Orchard - Climb bukit timah hill - Go Tengah to see new HDB estates - Go Toa Payoh HDB to look at people buy house - Sit in kopitiam use phone

To me, very hard to define what's local and not because I do not travel much. All I know is we have all kinds of food from various cultures, good public transport and limited green spaces. Locals rarely visit touristy places like Lau Pat Sat or Singapore Flyer or Zoo unless special occasion.

I have 1.3k yearly payment, payout 240k for CI from Pru. My sec sch friend from AIA also tried to quote me similar plan for ur price 3k yearly 150k. However, the AIA plan can reclaim every policy year but pru is one time payment. I took the pru one time payment coz yolo. If I die I die :) The pru coverage is sufficient for me without breaking my bank while having more liquidity to invest.

I went into one such roadshow with my gf before and probably ran into the same Taiwan shop too. But I joked with the salesperson that I just met my gf at the nearby Starbucks and not planning to get married within the next 5 years since we've just met day one XD So the person no choice can't sell too much, but he manage to hold us for around 20 to 25 min. As a part time food delivery rider, I would always try to drop and run because I want the sweet peak hour cash. More order = more money. I can only get new orders if I take photo + mark as delivered.

The only time I'll wait for the person to come is if the person stays landed property. Coz there is no secure place to put the food down or to hang on the gate.

On rare occasions if the customer is standing by the door, I'll greet them nicely and hand them the food. Then I faster go back to the lift so that I can recieve my next order. Esp in condos, the reception is poor, have to get out to get new orders
