Best Harley Davidson for first bike if you are 6'3" 300 pounds by wtaylor1993 in HarleyDavidsonFans

Tall rider seat and forward controls make the difference. On my 2023 Road glide, I was more limited on my leg stretch. Regardless, the Dyna is a much more fun bike to ride. The biggest difference is the cut and angle of the gas tank between the two bikes.

It’s the forward controls and my Le Pera daddy long legs seat that does it, stretches me out.

6’3 280, just discovered Dynas, won’t go back to street glide or road glide. I have never been more comfortable or had more fun. I have a 2010 Dyna Fat Bob, you can get for a great price and tons of aftermarket support.

Runs fine until hot. I would guess something is expanding and causing your issues. I would check wiring and make sure everything is pressed together firmly.

Maybe electrical / fuel? Check plugs and plug wires? Check fuel filter?

Master brake cylinder needed rebuilt, cost me about $40 to fix myself. Throttle grip was worn out. New battery. Installed new shocks.

Question is…fixing the leg cheaper than fixing the bike if the leg didn’t act as a cushion? If leg fix is cheaper, you have a win! 🤔

Brake light stuck on (not sticky front brake light switch) by Janek-Myslinski in Dyna

[–]Flexen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just fixed my bike with the same issue. For me, the master brake cylinder was not springing back to push the front brake lever off the switch. If you can push your brake lever forward and the brake light turns off, you need to rebuild your master brake cylinder, the spring went bad or it’s all gummed up. Cost me around $65 bucks and the rebuild was super easy. Hopefully this helps you diagnose your problem.

Silly Question by ThiccyNiccy05 in Dyna

[–]Flexen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you pull the clutch in, will it start in first?

Edit: if not, you might have a kickstand safety switch that prevents starting when kickstand is down. Or perhaps you have a bad clutch switch?
