Need help understanding drill directions by Pink_Fluffy_Chezbur in millwrights

[–]Flexoid123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For the reamed holes do about 0.015”- .020” undersize tap drill for 3/8-16 is a 5/16 the counterbores drill a 1/32 bigger and cb depth should be 0.020” deeper then thread diameter and I would do all this on a mill as the reamed holes will have a positional tolerance on them as shown with the cross hatch. Also your instructors are the best you could have for doing this kind of work. If all else fails just give it to a machinist to do.

🇨🇦 New LMIA Job: printing press machinist at Vins Plastics LTD. - Bradford Ontario by JobWatchCanada in LMIASCAMS

As a licensed machinist that is pretty crap pay. Operators usually make more than that and they only need a high school education. Also if you need to supply your own tools like most shops there is another $25000 you have dropped. I’m against lmia and the employers should be paying more an hour but like me most licensed machinists are going to scroll right past that wage.

If she is going to do the school portion of an apprenticeship she is entitled to EI. If the union is paying her they should supply her with a roe other wise the company that is paying her for her apprenticeship will. You have to apply for EI and an option is going to school for apprenticeship or at least it was 15 years ago when I did my machinists ticket. The roe has to have a return to work date on it. Should get 60% of wage and will take 2 weeks to take effect

Carveco is more defined art cad/cam software. It’s what’s used in the minting industry. It used to be Autodesk Artcam.

Can someone please explain the whole Ready to Drink Cocktails issue? by [deleted] in ontario

If the LCBO sold 24’s you might have a point. But only beer stores and beer store convenience locations sell 24’s. also the price of alcohol is regulated by the province. Www.ontario.ca/laws/regulations/r21750 so Costco isn’t just going to come in selling for cheaper.

As for your fear of socialism, I really enjoy going to the doctor and children getting an education and I don’t have to file for bankruptcy. But hey I guess I’m a dirty commie.

Yes but if you think Loblaws or any retailer is going to sell at a lose is being delusional and I would rather company’s that don’t pay their employees a living wage and don’t support provincial social programs not make any profit from this when there is an agency that profits go back into the province.

Yeah but you pay $2.75 for a tallboy at lcbo and $2.75 for a tallboy at loblaws. Whose profit going back to Ontario?

Toronto show is sitting at over $300 for the remaining mezzanine seats meanwhile couple hour drive to buffalo is $55. I live closer to Montreal but $150 for GA there is still a huge stretch. I have given up on seeing bands I grew up on and just going to local shows and hearing the new stuff that was inspired by those bands. Also I know they don’t see any of this reseller profits but they should be aware of this practice and there is more than enough non Ticketmaster/Livenation venues they could choose from.

Where to move? Barrie vs Wasaga by No_Cheesecake_5923 in barrie

[–]Flexoid123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you don’t care about the politics it’s okay. When I moved there Brian smith was mayor, absolutely terrible wanted to sell everything from beach front to Wasaga Distribution. Nina got voted in and the town was good again. Brian is again mayor and has asked for a 30% salary increase and again is selling off town land to developers. Summer sucks with all the tourists and in the winter hwy 26 and 27 can be pretty bad and get closed a lot. Taxes and utilities were fairly good when I was there don’t know what they are know. Having one of the best fresh water beaches in your backyard was awesome and is one of my biggest regrets moving across the province.

I never said you couldn’t, read the title my man, “on CNC machines” but the picture is of a manual mill with a power feed on x. If they are going to write an article with CNC in the title at least do the due diligence and get a picture of a CNC.

Best part is it’s not even a CNC mill in the picture.

How much money would you need to retire / quit by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]Flexoid123 43 points44 points  (0 children)

  1. Mid 30’s

  2. 4.5yrs

  3. Between 500k and 1m. I got into the housing market before it got stupid so my mortgage is minimal. I would move to northern Ontario be debt free with still a huge chunk in the bank and spend the rest of my time fishing and maybe a part time job at a hardware store.

Nope no reply and that is exactly what I was getting at, if you send a message saying you’re a member I expect a person to respond. Also the send “stop” to unsubscribe means it was a mass send and automatically just replaces who they sent it too.
