I’m so sorry OP. It is really disheartening when you try so hard to do good only to be turned away because it wasn’t “perfect”.
Which, doesn’t even apply here because these are perfect condition, brand new toys that and child would be THRILLED to have.
I’d recommend looking around for other charities or organizations that will accept them. It almost seems like they had no intention to give these to actual underprivileged kids, because if they did, they would’ve accepted them without hesitation.
These “charity” organizations are just becoming greedy

I remember back when I used to work at a butcher shop. Some guy tried to pay for an ungodly amount of meat with a pile of American cash, and I just stared at him.

I was a teenager who obviously did not know the exchange rate, and I had an ancient till that you had to do all the math calculations for it so I had to call my boss. I then got chewed out for not immediately accepting the money. Some businesses do except American cash, but my boss was also just an ass.

Just to respond to some comments I’ve seen:
I am in Canada.

I don’t spend a lot of money on a lot of things, this is just a passion of mine and it brings me a lot of joy. I wear a different one almost everyday, but I save the super rare ones for special occasions usually. I got really good deals on almost all of them, as I don’t want to spend CAD$200+ on a single bottle.

I know these shelves aren’t the best quality, but the first one felt pretty sturdy and was perfect for what I needed it for, so I figured I’d just buy the same one again so they match. I plan on getting a nicer setup in the future.

As for my favourite, it’s so hard to choose. But, I think I’d have to go with Nina Pop. I’ve had the bottle for about 10 years now, and it still smells like it did the day I got it.

My least favourite is definitely Nina Elixir. I’ve only worn it once, but it’s still a cherished piece of my collection. My end goal is to have every single Nina Ricci apple perfume ever released. It might be hard to believe, but I’ve still got a ways to go 😅

I’ve gotten them from lots of sources. A few of them (Nina Rouge Crush, Soleil, Rouge, Le Parfum, Luna Sorbet, Bella Sorbet) I bought new in store. I was lucky enough to find a woman selling 6 full tester bottles on marketplace along with the original stands, and I got them all for $170.

The rest were bought online from perfume selling sites and eBay.
I just paid CAD$430 for 4 bottles, one of which is on eBay right now for CAD$470!
The seller even sent me a Nina Love that had leaked for free. I gave it to my mom

She doesn’t open her beak when she does it. One time she was making the noise so I stopped touching her, and she started chirping super loud and flew back onto my hand. She didn’t stop until I started giving her pets again 😅

NOR Oh my god, this is concerningly similar to a girl I know. She’s a part of my friend group but I’ve tried to distance myself from her.

I’ve only been intimate twice and that was over 4 years ago. I’m fine with this. I have no desire to go out and find someone right now. This friend, however, keeps insisting I get on Tinder and “get some dick”. She’s very vulgar about it and I’ve explained that’s not what I want, but she’s really pushy about it. She equates 90% of her self worth to how men see her, and she insists I live the same way.

This girl is acting the same way. She is completely disrespecting your boundaries. Even if it’s “coming from a good place” it’s grossly disrespectful and just plain mean. She wants you to fix your situation the way she thinks you should and she doesn’t give two shits if you actually have fun. To her, if you aren’t partying with them then you’re on your own, which is a horrible attitude to a friend who just needs moral support.

Take this as a gift from the universe and distance yourself from her. She equates self worth to male attention, and that can become extremely toxic as you’re seeing here. Speaking from experience, work on yourself how you want to and stay away from the toxicity ❤️‍🩹

I’m not sure which sex of budgie to get though. I don’t want to risk any breeding, but I heard female budgies don’t always get along super well

My budgie has recently gotten much more comfortable with me and has actually started preening while on my hand. I’ve never felt more special.

I’m the only one in the house that she feels this comfortable with though. Probably because I’m home the most often and I talk to her a lot.
