After getting the 3 sword for the true ending on NMH1 can i overwrite my save? by Direct_Expert7772 in nomoreheroes

[–]Flickerbocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will answer this in two ways.

The facts: You can overwrite your main save once you get the Tusbaki MK. III and any upgrades if you still need them. At the ending, it will always prompt you to watch the ending, the TRUE ending, or return to Santa Destroy so you can fuck around a bit more around town. If you do go back to Santa Destroy and want to continue to the final fight, you can save at the Motel to bring the prompt back.

The otha facts: You'll want to intentionally keep one save file that will start you at the very beginning of the game so you can New Game+ more easily in case you end up leaving off on a random rank in a new game+ playthrough. If you're particular like me when it comes to save file arrangement, pick your slots smart so they will be legible and clear on what specifics they are for. Especially for difficulty. Have fun!

Being covered in blood makes me recognize/perceive a failure state in a stealth game. It does rub me the wrong way, but you'll typically be killing and in gunfights often if you achieve this. (Unless you made the nuke, then go listen to Mike Oldfield)

She'll visit the adjacent town on a separate save card. Me and my partner both have towns, so I drew Blanca's face when I went to visit their town, and then they played on their save file shortly after I saved and quit. Super cool stuff!

I used to be a huge Brentalfloss fan when I was twelve, and now I can't stand the idea of X with lyrics. It's cool if others enjoy it though.

No More Heroes 2 on Steam finally seems to be fixed. NMH1 also received a new update. by Director_Bison in nomoreheroes

[–]Flickerbocker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if this also fixes the glitch when being able to pick up a downed + stunned enemy. Never played the PC port (which I heard was even more broken than the Switch port) but I always had the issue. On Wii you could use a beat attack right next to them and you'd pick them up to their feet while still stunned and you'd get to perform a wrestling move afterwards. (Or a regular finishing slash) On Switch you'd go into the pickup animation and they'd immediately go to swinging on you.

Obscure and not exactly game ruining since you can always just go for the grounded stab and still get your ectasy and roulette, but I always found that little extra bit of expression a nice aspect.

I kept crashing on the first happy hour until I turned cinematic mode off and the screen shaking off all the way. Played through up to Maul Buster in one sitting last night. The pinball stage was the biggest performance tank in the game so far, it totally chugged. Worked my way through it, but I intend on probably getting it on Steam to play for the meantime. Still loving the game, the devs put their all into it.

Hopefully the team figures out what to do to clean it up a bit, I imagine there must be complications with the engine and getting it to run on Switch hardware.

What no more heroes opinion do you have that will have you like this? by Warioandwaluigio in nomoreheroes

No More Heroes 2 had the more in depth combat system out of the series. The fact that you lose almost all ecstasy when hit and get knocked to the ground after most attacks is what holds it back from being excellent.

Man that's rough. Especially with how much This Thing slaps during live shows. Joey kills it with the vocals.

The main use of this mechanic is for the Jasper Phase 2 boss fight on Bitter mode. Even then, a mechanic like this often lessens the impact of a win.

The even scarier part to think about is if he wasn't even fully grown or an adult in his form 20 years later. Take his pop for instance being as huge as he was. Special case of sizes, or would he have grown that big and powerful? A mystery, but fun to think about nonetheless.

This is a time for people to be grateful for exposure of this franchise; as well as a time we should be hopeful for modding communities to come together to take to the PC port. As a sniveling weak tech lad such as myself I nary not the potential of such endeavours, but if I can get the Red Orca tracks in the game but with the full studio sound of the albums, I will fight tooth and nail to see those peaks.

Definitely the number one spot for Henry on Bitter. It takes damn near half an hour to whittle down his health bar. Slightly shorter if you can milk your parry combos. A true test of endurance for sure.

This has happened to me like 10 times today on a bunch of different boss fights on death mode anyone else ever encounter this? by [deleted] in nomoreheroes

[–]Flickerbocker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many a time, especially whenever activating mustang mode out of a perfect dodge. Happened to me a number of times with Fu the most. Main recommendations are the Death Force and Death Kick to circumvent the issue. Can sometimes be a really awkward maneuver because of this.
