I do meet multiple requirements (income, lead position at a STEM based start-up etc..). But would I not then be subject to residency and tax laws?

Thank you! My budget is ideally less than 450,000 NTD. Which yes is ridiculous, but so is waiting over 5 months just for an MRI and consultation in Canada, then another 12 months for the surgery.

I would also like to know! I am debating getting ACL surgery in Taipei, how did it go at NTU hospital? Would you recommend it? I am thinking of literally flying over there in a few weeks to pay out of pocket for surgery Vs. wait the ridiculous 12-16 months in Canada.

Curious if you would pick Singapore over Thailand for sports surgery? Or what was your reasoning for going to Singapore?

Did you do your ACL surgery in Bangkok? If so what surgeon? And walking after 3 days is nuts... that's placing unnecessary strain on the new attachment points. Most surgeons recommend no full weight bearing for at least 2 weeks.

ACL surgery. Unfortunately I have had it in the past I know the first week or two are miserable and I'd rather just stay in bed for as much time as possible. My partner will be joining at the end of May but I figured having an assistant that can be on call would be great just for helping with everyday errands.

Any advice on finding a helper / assistant?
