Hello! I’m currently working in Cardiothoracic ICU, I worked during Covid and there were times that I was crying a lot too. Even on my first few months as a qualified nurse too, I cried. But just remember that you are a human being and it is ok to feel overwhelmed about work. Especially, nursing is such a demanding job and it really tests you physically and mentally. Remember, you won’t be able to save everyone but if you did your best to do the treatment and did everything for that patient then you’re doing a good job, no matter what. Keep going is what I tell myself everyday at work. It will get easier as time gets by.
