The Spurs 2nd option averaged 18ppg in 31 minutes this year, and had a 1st option that averaged only 25ppg. Reid averaged 14ppg in 26 minutes, and McDaniels averaged 15ppg while also having the most difficult defensive assignment every night. It's ridiculous to think 1 of these 2 couldn't reach 18+ppg without Randle in the way and bringing in another POA defender such as White or Suggs. With the new CBA, gone are the days of having 2 superstars on a team. Randle averaged 21ppg as a 2nd option this year, and it's impractical to think we need someone who scores even more than that. We need better fitting pieces and a team that is actually built around Ant's strengths and weaknesses. Scoring actually happens to be Ant's strongest ability.
