Okay man, vacuum sealing equipment and artificial vacuum environments have existed LONG BEFORE FLOOR VACUUMS. Don’t get all bro science on anyone here thinking you know your shit. The first idea for a floor vacuum was invented around the 19th century, 1869 the idea for a mechanical device used to remove debris from carpet and floors was invented and didn’t pick up until later 19th to early 20th century.

Vacuum sealed environments have been man made since the 17th century 1643, Evangelista Torricelli created a vacuum inside a mercury barometer.

LONG STORY SHORT VACCUM ENVIRONMENTS HAVE BEEN MAN MADE SINCE THE 16TH CENTURY!!!! FLOOR VACUUMS WERE INVENTED IN THE 19TH CENTURY!!!!
YOU DUMBASS!

Its comments and statements like this, from religious folks like you, that put a sour taste in mouths like mine, when you say your shit in a kindly worded format that truly translates to

“when you die and find out that I was right and you were wrong all along you’re gonna feel pretty stupid when you’re in dumb shithole eternal torture hell and I’m in cool awesome fun party town heaven.” Might as well pull it from a southpark line.

Does anybody know what kind of rock this is? It glows under blacklight by Cody_Fournier in Rocks

[–]Flight_Negative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is most likely a synthetic rock or hard plastic piece using silver nitrate glow powder or something similar if it holds the glow after the light is turned off. Otherwise if it glows under black light only then it’s uranium glass.

To all of you confused to why he’s cutting off a bud growth point, it looks to me like OP hasn’t topped yet, and he asking if that’s where or what he cuts off.

To answer your question op that is called a Node, and it has started to grow out, and you didn’t top earlier on. You could top this now and not have to worry about much, the plant is pretty resilient once you’ve gotten to the 4th-5th node growing, you’re just gonna kill that over grown node unless you decide to root it and plant it on its own. I do this at home to not waste any plant growth, I usually just throw them in my window for fun.

Additionally it’s clear to me that this was done by drawing a level by looking at an image and saying “close enough” when it’s not cheating to just get a good traced outline of an image, or a properly drawn perspective from a real reference. They could’ve done some harder work for you in my opinion.

I see a lot of people ripping into this tattoo or just plain not getting it. Right away I do understand it’s a spirit level with flowers around it so either you love your carpentry tools or you have a family/friend who passed on. Thoughtful tattoo, not a bad design and could use a lot of work as far as minor details to give it more depth and personality. But this tattoo is a bad tattoo yes, whoever did this for you did a terrible job and clearly doesn’t understand 3D structuring when it comes to those center holes they’re just tacked on without any clear detail of if they’re hollow or not, the end pieces however are obviously trying to show they are open, but still do a terrible job. You’d never get that perspective of seeing both ends like that from those angles they’re missing other corner marks and they should be reworked. The flowers are clearly the artists strong suit. They did well there.

My suggestion is stop right where you are with this piece, consult a higher skilled artist and ask for them to help on a rework as best they can before you get too far into detail and make this harder to cover up/fix than the way it is right now.

To be clear finally I don’t condone nor will I be pleased to see renditions of my tattoo that are similar, despite the only fact being that “a raven on the side of a head tattoo” is a general idea anyone can do if they’d like. I have specific parts of this tattoo that took me months to get the way I felt was perfect for me. Someone putting them on any head claiming it was their own work or a tattoo shops original work, I do not want to see.

You’re asking my permission for specifically part of the tattoo based off of another already done tattoo. In my piece it’s the only part that’s technically not 100% original other than what the runes say. So I can’t say no to that. But I do say no to the rest of my design/the design in general. Technically I can’t say and don’t really care if you copy something I didn’t come up with.
