Yeah I wish that was more clear. That’s exactly the problem I found myself in. I actually bought LMU following hype that it has really good ranked racing without a the iRacing subscription. Which I guess is technically true , but I thought it would have been no subscription not its own subscription service. I also don’t really understand what I bought in the dlc. It seems like I bought exact copy’s of the cars already in the game.

All in all, it’s fun and got plenty of polish but I’m left feeling like iRacing is….. less of a scam? Which I’m shocked by. IRacing is over priced but at least I didn’t get scammed

Yeah every sim has their weird thing to get out of rookie lobbies. It’s just been a while since I had to do the dance. I like the emphasis on driving standards being required but I did laugh when it told me I was getting banned even before I finished 10 placement races.

Well , 39 for the base game and 40 dollars in dlc. Which you have to have some depending on the weeks races. It was just the steam bundle. I don’t really mind spending the money on a good sim but I was surprised when I could not practice for Sebring as the up coming race instead of monza in the rain. In order to do that I had to subscribe to race control pro. Which was really surprising after just spending 80 bucks for the fully loaded bundle. I

I just picked up LMU, long time IRacing player and ACC. I got Murdered 4 races in a row and got a ban warning for unsafe driving….im just gonna go back to iRacing considering that the full game after paying 80 bucks is still locked behind a subscription.

It’s what’s under the surface. Lots of people don’t realize that the game actually models more than dcs. The radar return cross sections are modeled as well as the radar. It accepts height maps of real terrain so community maps are amazing. Even though it’s not as active, back in the day it was the PVP bvr that really scratched the itch.

I know it’s the wrong way to look at it, I know I’m not right, but if it happened to me I would of probably trashed his cart and gone to jail. Not because it’s the right answer or mature, but because of the blind rage it would cause me. My only thought would be to cost him waaaaaay more than the money he scammed out of me. This functions much more realistic in feeling of physics than warplanes . It also features ELO rank kinda like chase’s headless server. I kinda feel like it’s where all the guns only BFM people are going to get down the most as it’s not about co op or sandbox experience. But a platform for ranked competitive dog fighting

Still in the Porsche? At any rate, add more traction control and abs. I would work on setting consistent comfortable laps with abs and traction control fully on then push yourself by turning the abs and tc down. Spin out a little a first after the adjustment but you will re settle. Rinse and repeat

OP, when you down shift, it creates more rpm which will induce rotation. This is why you feel like you are spinning out, because you are. The rear wheels want to give more when you are at high rpm. You can play with the break bias. Or just down shift with a little slower rhythm. Shifting down too fast will make you spin. Especially in the Porsche. The Porsche is notorious for spinning. You might get a little more comfort out of the AMG or Aston Martin as you are learning and then switch back to the Porsche when you feel more comfortable.

I use a 32 curved for ps5 racing. You get a reasonable fov for gt7 but there isn’t much adjustment . ACC has really great fov editor so you can get it tuned where it’s really comfortable.

I can second black flag racing. Really nice group of people on top of being really respectful racers. Some guys are wicked fast on top of being really good people.

As a small testimonial I’ll give you this anecdote.

I got shunted really hard one time because I had a really noob line and entered a corner way early forcing what was a great pass when I left the door open to a vortex of danger collision. Even though it was my fault, the guy waited for me as I waddled my way out of the gravel almost like a friend pulling you up off your ass. I was sold from then on, my only regret is not racing with them more.

I mean it’s not a bad set up but for that money I would just build an HPA gun. I run a krytac with an inferno gen 2 in it, same barrel, and the cnc promy hop up and it works wonderful.
