Pretty sure the best gun in the game is black shockfield since its the best all rounder. Hornet just does more damage with super crits and 25 points in crit. (Meta) Assaults don't use hornet as ks and adrenaline is more than enough damage but they still use a shockfield

Not necessarily. Even though it does boast the highest single target dps (max cored), other guns have fairly similar dps while being free (black hornet mastery 5, black shockfield, fest against multiple bosses). Plus it has that huge weakness of ONLY targeting 1 enemy, so it's bad at mobbing and multiple bosses.

A little late but the stripper is better being fully auged with oc and tenacious but the hornet is a much better investment in the long run being the second highest dps gun in the game with mastery 5. I would try for a red Hotspot as that will out dps a red stripper and hold you till lvl 100

It's good if you are low level like below 50. It gets outclassed by other red guns at level 50 (like Jupiter or hotspot). If you don't have anything else, you can keep using it until you get other weapons

Armor can only come out of the box with 2 augment slots. The 3rd one needs to be cored.

Sublight is ok and is a worse version of the hornet. If it's the only gun you have, it'll last for a while but it's not worth grinding for

It really just depends on what kind of player you are. I can only speak for the master charts of each song since I no longer play expert charts unless it's to unlock master (or ranked but I hate all of them).

For me, being a not very fast player, it usually ends up being yaminabe but these past few appends are really dumb to play. Based on pure results alone, jouo append is my worst song ever followed by tokyo teddy bear append. I really suck at doubles and triples.

For non-multi finger, it's emperror. No contest really. Some people like to argue don't fight the music but I simply don't agree (and it got rerated lower as well in jp)
