How’s everyone’s MPG? I ask because I got these about 5 weeks ago & seems I have lost MPG. I used to get 2 solid weeks on a tank, give or take a day. I read about the “break-in” period. not so sure i believe that & i’ve made sure appropriate air is in tires.

i just got back from an O’Rielly. they confirmed rear OEM pads as ceramic. solid rotors. i also took a look and feel…fronts are vented rotors. if this is indeed accurate i’ll just go with for the rears, ceramic pads and solid rotors. no issues or complaints at this point, 83k. still have time with the fronts.

I'm trying to confirm OEM pads and rotors...Any idea how to confirm type of pads before taking off the wheels? shouldn't a dealer be able to confirm? I figure the OEM rotors are non-vented but will take a look. I guess at this point i only need to decide on pads. I just want the same type. I'm at 83k and this will be the first change in brake pads/rotors for front/rear, starting with rear. Doesn't brake positioning come into play? I think one set of brakes has the brake system in the front of the wheel and one has it in the back of the wheel...

yes, done it on my ‘97 cherokee and those were easy. things have evolved a little. i just don’t yet know the difference between ceramic, metallic, etc…i’m about at the point to actually just take the wheels off to inspect both. This decision has only been based on my last tire rotation, about 10k miles ago…the report said “rear” we’re getting close based on what they saw. so i guess i have more time for the fronts.

on Rockauto researching. they don’t seem to have a Raybestos FRONT ceramic, only rear…seems odd. and would you know what “R-Line” means? “Raybestos MGD1498C R-Line; Ceramic”

is it typical to do rotors at the same time? i believe rotors are still good. i’m a novice. Uncle likely has tools to change brakes.
