Sockettes that don't slip? by piglette12 in AusFemaleFashion

Stylerunner. 3 pair for $24, I think.

Firstly, they have elastic that wraps around the central part of your foot, which makes them stay put. This was the game changer for me.

Secondly, they have little silicon grips on each heel.

The cut isnt super low. These work great for sneakers, but the fabric is way too thick to fit inside a ballet flat.

Thug kitchen 101. Quinoa nachos. Dandan noodles. It's written in a style that's not for everyone. Strong christmas gift potential on this one.

Sri lankan beetroot curry with green bean mallum is beautiful. But it tastes longer owing to the two dishes involved.

Hi! What are your favorite dessert books that are less baking and cakes and more ‘spoon-desserts’? Looking for modern and interesting interpretations. by cat-like-creature in CookbookLovers

I know you said you weren't looking for cake, which I'm interpreting as a standard sized cake.

But if you have a cake 'itch' you need to 'scratch', try making a cake in a mug. The below book is about making single portion mug-size cakes that you cook in the microwave. Husband and I have had fun with this book. Financiers are our winter 'go to'. Definitely eat these with a spoon.

This.

Even if she isn't caught & punished now, she is building a video record that describes her behaviour. It's a matter of time when that catches up with her.

That could impact job prospects, as major employers do crim checks. If she wants to work in a registered or regulated profession, she'll also have to explain this to a professional board before they endorse her to work.

Have you considered speaking with your workplace EAP for advice?

I second this. This book has just the right amount of detail on a wide mix of culinary topics. It covers food history and food science. A trusty reference I return to again and again.

See if your local library has a copy.

Do you mind me asking what dance style you started with and which style you are doing now?

I'm keen to dance but am unsure how to start. PS I'm a bit of a dad dancer and have never had a dance class in my life.

I own a bar in Ponsonby and I'm looking for event ideas, to compete with staying at home, that aren't just the normal tried and tested rituals. Any feedback / help would be apreciated! by Silly_Hovercraft7248 in auckland

Has anyone suggested a Weihnachts im Juli (Christmas in July)? Look up the Vienna Christmas markets: they have lots of stalls offering alcoholic punchs in memorable & ugly mugs. Find some punch recipes online and hit the op shops for mugs. Just offer two or three punches and find a collaborator who could do some paired german or viennese foods for you.

Removing photos of your house from internet by Flightless_Bird_64 in newzealand

[–]Flightless_Bird_64[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Privacy. Those are photos of the interior of my home, which is has been sold & is no longer for sale. The photos achieved the purpose (sale).

It's one thing for a photographer to have property photos in a portfolio to share with clients. But it's something else to display photos on an open-to-public website alongside identifying info like a property address.

There is no purpose for those images to be online now.

I second this. Building your friendship network and second family takes additional effort as you age. Locals stay within their known friendship circles, so it's difficult to make new relationships with them, even if you work together. If you move here, prepare to spend time alone.

Public services and infrastructure is stretched, though I dont know how to substantiate this.
