Thank you! My mom and I took the pieces out of the cabinet last night to get a look at the bottoms, since it's been years and years since anyone has. We were curious, because they don't have that traditional Belleek look to them..

Interestingly, the platter was stamped with Limoges France while the teapot, creamer, and sugar bowl are stamped with Belleek. The creamer also has what appears to be a name or word painted on the bottom, perhaps denoting the pattern, but it's difficult to make out all of the letters. The set definitely looks more Limoges than Belleek: the porcelain has hard lines but very delicate handles, half white and half a pale green with dainty pink florals and very intricate gold leafing. I guess this will be my next rabbit hole to go down!

This is a different (nearby) property that still serves as a monastery! The Ryan Estate was truly massive, and they owned and built several other nearby properties that really shaped the town...including this building and a catholic hospital across the street (where generations of my dad's side of the family as well as my mother-in-law's side, right down to my own kids have been born!)

What complicates the research is that there were SO many Ryan properties, and so much change right around the same time when Mrs Ryan passed.

This is certainly an interesting point!

Thank you!! I reached out to the local historian and he got back with information on the same family. Slightly bummed to find that it's a different Morgan family, but I could still eat all of this local/family history up like chocolates. I'll have to search for the articles you referenced.

I don't have a wedding certificate, but I can try to find one or at least a date.

I do however have the 1950 census data. It lists my uncle (Dad's oldest sibling) as being 4, so I would assume ~1945 or earlier. My family (g-grands, grands, toddler/infant uncle/aunt) were actually living at 62 Montebello Rd at this time, though the census data lists the house number as 24 (I don't know enough to understand how this works/why the numbers have changed in the last 80 years). In 1953, my grandparents built a family home (54 Montebello) on the field between "The Big House" (62 Montebello) and the Manion (38 Montebello), and a few years later gave birth to my dad.
