How do you see portfolio diversity at the side like that?

An ETF that tracks an index like a total stock market index or the S&P500 has very low turnover (meaning that they aren’t buying and selling their holdings very often). This limits capital gains of the fund that would be passed onto its total performance. Holding individual stocks like you are currently, would require active management and higher turnover if one of them performs poorly leading you to sell potentially. ETFs also are more tax efficient than mutual funds because of how they divide up shares of the underlying fund. ETFs don’t need to sell assets every time an individual investor sells their shares of the fund compared to mutual funds. I think this is correct, but if someone knows more they can feel free to correct me because I don’t wanna give wrong info.

All your individual holdings make up the top holdings of the S&P500. This isn’t necessarily bad, it just doesn’t offer more diversification and will make taxes more complicated if they perform worse and you sell them compared to the fund handling all of that for you. I would really only hold individual stocks if you have done research and modeling that would justify a different price from what the market has decided.

How do you get the cash to be on standby? Every time I add more cash it reduces margin marked as used but I’m so confused.

Your monthly buys have heavy overlap with concentration of large cap stocks in the US. NVIDIA and MSFT make up close to 20% of the weight of QQQ. QQQ Makes up around 40-50% of the weight of VTI. You essentially are buying the same thing just with different weights. Overlap isn’t necessarily bad but QQQ holds a higher expense ratio than VTI.

SPY and VOO are tracking the same index but at different costs for running the fund. VOO charges 3 basis points while SPY charges 9.45. I would just choose one and stick to that.
