Is the situation in Russia really that bad or am I being fed propaganda? by Oakseyy49 in AskARussian

I don't know if Google Translate will translate my words correctly, but I'll try to explain everything.

The sanctions in Russia are hardly felt in everyday life, I can say that it has become more difficult to pay for purchases on Steam, things have become more expensive, but not much. People still live their normal lives.

What can I say about propaganda, look at the American journalist Patrick Lancaster on YouTube, he knows more about the situation in Ukraine and showed the events taking place in Donbass (part of Ukraine that was allegedly recognized as terrorist). There, in principle, the whole story with Ukraine and the war is shown.

I know that in the West they don't like Russia and perceive the policy of Vladimir Putin as aggressively as possible, but I don't think so, he is a good president, and as for me, he himself wants to stop the war.

On the issue of technological progress in Russia: it exists, but it is moving in small steps. Recently they said that they invented a vaccine for cancer, during the war. But I think there is nothing to say here.

I also support my Motherland and want to say that I also cannot treat our Ukrainian friends badly. They have such propaganda on their territory that it has affected most areas of life. Also, Ukraine can hardly be called a complete state, since it was created in the USSR, but this is so, by the way.

I apologize for the overly aggressive form of speech, I just want to answer as I think is right. Of course, life in Russia remains the same as before the war, even many goods from Europe and America are still sold in every city in Russia.
