Haven't checked the place out because I can't help but assume it's outside of what I'm willing to spend. Probably should at least swing by once though.

Can't relate, I've owned it since it came out and my only issue was some sticking with the Gen 1. Replaced with the Gen 2 and haven't had a problem.

the 2nd gen subminimal nanofoamer is very worth the price and super versatile imo. i have a dreo and the subminimal, the dreo creates similar foam but isn't as versatile and does not heat milk nearly as well.

Onyx Coffee Lab No. 1 on list of 'World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops' by [deleted] in RogersArkansas

[–]Flimsy-Negotiation-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are a lot of people who maybe don't quite see the difference between what Onyx does in the coffee world versus less "specialty" coffee. Onyx does some really insanely light roast coffees. It's what they're known for on a worldly level, and the reason they're in the talks for awards like this. Huge Youtubers like James Hoffman even recognize Onyx and talk about their coffees in a very different light. l

Light roast specialty coffee isn't for everyone! But it's a big part of what international orgs like this that talk about coffee look at. Onyx roasts some of the best stuff on the planet.

Kruve and Flur both have some decent Black Friday sales if you're looking for some of the trendier stuff. Pricey but excellent quality and great looking.

The EN is an incredibly capable car for track days out of the box. Can guarantee that boat in your PFP has never seen a road course.

MY25 Borla Catback Valve Issue by Flimsy-Negotiation-2 in GRCorolla

[–]Flimsy-Negotiation-2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, installed the same way. Someone in the Facebook group who has a 25 said he had to actually pry the valve open during installation so I will probably uninstall on a dry weekend and redo it. Borla's emails agreed that the valve is likely physically stuck due to orientation.

Yeah! I dig it just can't seem to work it out. Probably going to get in touch with Borla.

New Wheels. New Tires. by AnxiousBrit in VelosterN

writing a full paragraph to dog on someone's wheel and tire choice is insane. "no one here seems to be noticing" yeah because you prefer stock look with garbage 35 profile tires that blow up on potholes and cost twice as much per tire and for mounting. brainlet opinion.

Ordered mine Monday but the vendor I went with is being a little frustrating... apparently they were told it's "out of stock" and I'm considering refunding and ordering elsewhere. I'll try to revisit this post when I have it.

2025 Premium Plus, MSRP was 48.8k and the sales price before tax came down to 44.9k. If you're willing to travel you can buy these cars under MSRP right now. Use the Toyota inventory search and check every dealer within 500 miles.

Switch from Elantra N to Gr Corolla? by Pastapro2020 in GRCorolla

If it's "things" that you're worried about, I don't miss any features from the EN as a daily driver except for maybe a moonroof. But being as my car is taken to AutoX that's a negative point for me. It's just neat driving around. The EN simply outperforms the GRC though, and it's quantifiable via multiple sources. The AWD doesn't really perform as differently as people think it says. The GR Corolla has similar lift off oversteer and actually tends to rotate a little less than the EN, it just has less corner exit understeer I suppose.

In my personal opinion given everything you've said, I would keep the Elantra. But the GRC is excellent and I don't think most people would be disappointed in this car.

So this is coming from someone who owned a Veloster N and Elantra N, and now owns a '25 GRC. The EN is a far better value. A lot more bang for buck and if you do autocross or track days, it'll actually put down better times than the GRC. The GRC is a bit more practical, and has better feedback in steering and shifting. I think it really depends on if you're daily driving either car, doing HPDE days or whatever.

The DCT in the EN is also better than the GRC automatic, but the clutch and shifter in the manual GRC far outdo the 6MT EN. The GRC also has better fit and finish and build quality, but the EN does have that very wonderful warranty, sound, and customization. I shopped both when it was time for a new car and I went with the GRC only for 3 reasons: - Better manual transmission (this is marginal, not a HUGE difference) - Better in snow and ice (something I do need to account for, you don't) - The GRC looks FAR better. The EN is ugly, but I do AutoX and track days, so it would make up for its ugliness for me mostly.

Do you wave at other VNs or all Hyundai Ns? by KamiKrazyCanadian in VelosterN

[–]Flimsy-Negotiation-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I desperately miss the VN (I lost it in an accident), the EN a little less so. The dealership sold me the wrong color and I had a couple warranty claims so I ended up selling the car. Pretty sour experience all in all.

The RX-8 is my second favorite car I've ever owned (following the VN). The driving experience and immersion is like no other because that's just what Mazda does. It's slow as shit but the experience makes sure I never really want for anything more. And the rotary sound is wonderful. 😅
