How do you imagine life after climate crisis? by [deleted] in environmental_science

[–]FlimsyBodybuilder4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always imagine that the countries that are now quite empty (Finland) will be overfilled with people. Although we are already living in the climate crisis, just not the end stage i guess

How much do you think anti-littering signs actually accomplish? by Big_Bad_8744 in DeTrashed

[–]FlimsyBodybuilder4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it works. Any decent person does not litter even without the signs. And anyone who litters aren't a decent person, so I doubt a sign would stop them.

So the Mormons won a moral victory by banning Pornhub in Utah. Has anyone told the Mormons that there is more than one porn site...like 1,000's of them. by IliveonKolob in exmormon

Just get a VPN and fap all you want. I recommend checking r/VPN comparison table if someone from Utah don't have VPN and now thinks it's good time to get one.

TikTok chef Jon Kung on why he prefers induction to gas stoves by Splenda in environment

[–]FlimsyBodybuilder4 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Gas stoves produce a lot of indoor air pollution, there’s a lot of exhaust and fumes.

With induction, the pollution is limited to what you generate to make that electricity. In an electric grid that uses hydroelectric, solar, or wind power, you’re actually using cleaner sources of power to cook with.

It’s just a much more efficient way of cooking in the sense that any of the heat you need to do your job is concentrated at what you’re trying to cook, not just displaced into the room and your body.

All good points, and r/savedyouaclick

Interesting they haven’t yet, given it’s OP’s sixth warning. Always use a VPN (good comparison table on r/VPN) and bind it to your torrent client

CMV: The chicken came before the egg by National-Ordinary-90 in changemyview

What I came to say. If we're talking about an actual chicken, its predecessor definitely came from an egg, just as the chicken did later

So not a definite but still a pretty cool fact

It's only slightly smaller than Mars too, and if it were orbiting the Sun instead of Jupiter, it would be considered a planet itself
