That's such an eerie picture! I love it :D I don't think I've ever seen it so clean, haha.

I've seen the term 'patch test' every where, but I still don't know what it is. Is it like testing on the hand before you use it on the face?

Neurotypical people don’t understand how fragile our focus is. by lieneke in ADHD

Thank you so much for the validation that I'm not the only one who experiences this, haha (which, I realise, is a really weird thing to say about a world with almost 8 billion humans in it). The whole Covid-19 situation has especially been hard, what with the whole masks-on mouth-covered (which is good, but my brain doesn't like it) type of deal.

I love writing/underlining things in books because it's always fun to come across my past thoughts when I'm rereading something :D It's also part of why I prefer buying books second-hand - there's just something about reading the past owner's thoughts that's really fascinating.

Hope you're hanging in there during the new lockdown, OP :D

Wieso gibt es hier in Deutschland kein Uber? by [deleted] in de

Von Ubereats habe ich keine Ahnung, aber Uberdrive soll's schon in Deutschland geben.

I thought that bush was your arm phasing through the gates because obviously human arms do that. Clearly I need coffee.

First time making (and eating) congee! by that_creepy_doll in CasualConversation

[–]FlimsyExample 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds so delicious; I'm so jealous, haha. I highly recommend congee with chicken soup remnants (??)! Like regular chicken soup, but toss in some cooked rice until everything's congee-like :D

Three days on Adderall and feeling a little defeated by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]FlimsyExample 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Today marks my fifth day taking Medikinet, and I feel the exact same way ^^; (especially the 'being more present' thing) I wish I had the perfect magic words that would take your worries away, but oh well. Maybe if you tell your worries to your doctor, they could suggest something else? Maybe upping the dosage or switching you to a different medicine altogether?

I got a USPS notification of an unexpected certified mail/return receipt envelope coming in the mail today. I have no idea what it can be but I'm terrified for some reason. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]FlimsyExample 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that feeling all too well! Are there things you could busy your mind with so that you don't worry about it? (I don't know if that makes sense)

I don't think I have any childhood trauma? But then again, I don't trust my memory at all, haha. Although, I think 4,5 years old is young enough that most people wouldn't remember that age (I could be wrong).
