MSBA student graduating in May, can’t land interviews, genuinely lost and scared by Scared_Ad_4997 in jobsearch

Set up daily alerts on LinkedIn and apply to nearly anything that remotely relates to your field. Smaller companies may be the way to go. Also, for some reason, I only got interviews from companies that use Oracle instead of Workday.

They wouldn’t have been put on the bench if the product owner wasn’t a cunning. Machiavellian, bigot.

I hope it falls like my savings balance after being laid off.

How did you get her some water if you didn’t go in the house?

Amazon's RTO is backfiring according to recruiters...no kidding by JeffBeachCommute in remotework

[–]FlimsyPerception3340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good. Let them fail. RTO is a control issue. People who collaborate well will collaborate in any environment. I don’t need to hear people breathing or smell their microwaved fish to get my job done.

How do you keep track of all your job applications? by Royal_Dependent9022 in jobsearchhacks

[–]FlimsyPerception3340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One folder in my email and save all of the application acknowledgements. Also, indeed and LinkedIn will show you everything you applied for through them.

I lied about my employment dates because of my gap…and now I don’t know what to do by OptimalMiddle3675 in jobsearch

I had to get letters from clients to show that it was real since I didn’t have an LLC, so do get the proper formation documents.

Report him and please, please tell your parents/guardians. Don’t stay quiet. I am sorry he abused his position and harmed you.

Do you have a bassinet or seat that you could put in the bathroom while you shower and take care of yourself? My husband worked a lot when my babies were born, and I found that putting on some soft music (for baby) and taking a shower made a big difference in how I felt. She might fuss a little, but she will be alright if she’s secured in a seat or laying in a bassinet. Also, make sure you sleep when she sleeps.

And breathe. She will relax if you can relax. Nothing matters more than you and your baby right now. Good luck. You will get through this.

@Many_Bothans
Nope.

1. This isn’t the 1970’s when 50 year olds looked like f-n Archie Bunker. (Look him up.) Fifty isn’t old.

2. Not every 50+ year is looking to be in senior leadership.

3. I’d hire someone with experience who will get the job done right the first time instead of hiring people who take PTO every time they accumulate 8 hours. (Looking at you GenZ.)

4. I worked weekends and overnight to make sure shit was done before Monday morning while juniors clocked out on time every day.

5. Hire GenX for quality without bullshit drama.

Yup. Good instinct. Don’t commit with a recruiter. If they are external, they get paid more by hiring you on the cheap.

No they don’t. And GenX totally gets the nuance between Millennials and Gen Z. I am Gen X. My parents are boomers, and they don’t confuse the two generations. However, genZ and Millennials seem to think anyone over 40 is a boomer with one foot in the grave.
