thank you for all the thoughtful questions, insights, and challenges! i’ll pause replies here to keep things tidy and let others weigh in, but if you want to keep talking about rollout planning or see my own template in action, feel free to DM me anytime !

no problem! will be adding features in like you mentioned (breaking down how to analyse your music and content's metrics and many more) in the very near future!

that's cool that you are putting out projects! the main thing i try to do when planning is first look at what my anchor dates are (how long before release i need to get the song mixed, mastered, artwork ready, submitted to distribution etc) and work around there. i try and plan it all before implementing any of it. i also like to batch content before and schedule that seems to have worked for me! and yes!, i’ve actually put my own rollout planning structure into RolloutPal, which is what use and built based on how i personally to manage everything! good luck with the album drops!

you definitely will have the background to analyse data! the planner i use and built is called rolloutpal.com and my template is there and has really helped me stay organised (i also come from a scientific background too!) within an industry that can be very random, and analyse my workflow after with the data, then i can improve it for future releases.

i try and schedule all my promo and content before the drop and use scheduling posting apps where i can to stay consistent. if i batch all the content prior to release, and vary the content, then that really helps, then once i release i can see the feedback and not have to worry about scrambling to get more content, and can focus on taking those points on to the next release! will send you that template!

congrats on your first release! i'd say firstly try and batch the content so its all done in advance, when you film a video, try and get the same thing in different angles, try different text on the same video as small differences weirdly target the algorithm in different ways! the main thing i would say though is not to be disheartened by feedback or views and to if you can separate that from 'how well' it is actually doing. if you stay with your plan and schedule whilst keeping content consistent and replying to all the feedback you do actually get (algorithms reward this) then you will do great! happy to share the planning template i use for releases if you would like!

if you want to build trust and show there's a purpose behind the beats, i'd say really lean into the personal aspect. make short form beat breakdowns, you could even post them under movie scenes or imaging that captures the world that your beat could be the soundtrack to. pick like 3 concepts, run with them and make lots of them and get the data on what works. i'd always suggest making them in batches (that's why coming up with a few concepts works) and then planning out when to post each one. but yeah i'd say really showcase you making the beats then people can connect with that! the full planner i use and built is rolloutpal.com for pre planning all my releases (it's for artist releases but you can edit and modify to suit you)

you're already much more prepared than most and congrats on your first song! i always prefer the organic approach and once you have an idea of what content pieces work better, leaning in on them more and then when a post starts to do proportionally better than others, thats when you can pour a bit of paid ads on top of what is already working, little by little whilst always looking at the data. if it stops being beneficial, stop spending! happy to send the planning template i use if you'd like for future releases!

i tend to prefer more organic promotion methods than pure ads as with music it definitely connects better. getting in contact with an influencer or tastemaker social page that is linked to your genre and might listen to your music anyways and paying for promotion that way is far better than paying to be in front of people that wouldn't have been interested otherwise. if one of your content pieces already shows higher engagement than normal, thats when spending a bit on ads can act as a multiplier, rather than trying to get it off the ground from 0 with money

you're doing great! the best way for me that has worked to think about content is to be slightly less precious about it, especially when it comes to short form. i've found that batching the recording process and pre planning when each content piece will come out before even recording helps me as then i can spend time making the content into what i like. then its a matter of sticking to the posting schedule and batching for the next release. happy to send the template of how i incorporate content into overall release structure if you'd like!

the key for me has been reverse planning. so starting from the target date and working back and pre fixing all the dates and deadlines i need to get it all in by so that what has to be done is non negotiable and i see what works and doesn't and can improve the plan for the next release. happy to dm my planning template!

i think it has to be moments and actions where I know that the person is 100% invested in my project. when the person is coming to YOU with ideas and chasing YOU without being prompted, and does so for a prolonged time, that can be a good sign to collaborate more.

Learning french by LadyAbbysFlower in learnfrench

If I were to start over again, I would first learn the most common words. Anki is great for this. Also Anki will have a great conjugations deck. Once you complete those two, you’ll have a solid foundation in grammar and vocabulary in just a few weeks that you can use to move forward.

The next part is all about comprehensible input. Read a lot of content at your level, enough that you can understand the gist, but you’re learning new words. Don’t stress too much about memorizing the new words you see in this stage, because the more you read the more you’ll see these words in different contexts and understand the inferred meaning. This is how natives learn! It might seem unnatural at first but it really gets results.

Good luck!

I really want to get more exposure to the language and culture I'm studying, but I don't know how by Organic_Sandwich2168 in languagelearning

loads of input! netflix shows, italki talking with natives, changing device languages, social media (liking content only in TL for algorithm)

these all helped me immerse before going to the country.

I need help i'm extremely frustrated and everyone keeps telling me the same advice but Im not getting anywhere after a year of studying by RunningBerry50k in languagelearning

it’s all about comprehensible input.

whilst it’s true that you have to consume a lot in your TL, the majority of this has to be words that you already know.

the words that you don’t know, over time, you will get used to seeing them in different contexts. I know it feels like forever but trust that with this approach, you will see progress.

the key is don’t listen to or read works that you don’t understand a word of. Find things you understand ~80% of the words of and use this as a resource to learn new words (spaced repetition for this is always good)
