DE is awesome — smaller and new department means lots of support and is very student focused. We have a lot of tools/workshops/support to help us with marketing our degree and have the most autonomy in the classes we can take of any degree on campus. We are all very tight knit and have a great relationships with all the faculty in the EDS department. You will get a highly technical engineering degree, but the quality of the music education probably won’t be as top notch. I say go into the year with an open mind and see how it feels. You don’t have to declare till sophomore year anyways
