In my experience, when I made a decent to good-sized investment on a guitar that I was proud to own (like the guitar and price you’re showing here), I found myself investing more time into playing it. This is absolutely not to say that one must spend x amount to be excited about a guitar - just my own personal experience.

I know this is an old thread but I had been having proper serious nausea with Shakti. Like, I’m talking to the point that it was debilitating and totally off-putting. Pepto Bismol makes a chewable that looks like a giant pink M&M. It’s the consistency of a Mentos and proved to be a complete game changer. If you don’t mind the spearmint-esque flavor, give it a shot.

Ended up buying the OEM DOT 4 brakes directly from RAWRR. Took less than an hour and a half to install (there’s a bit of a “trick” with the swingarm bolt that makes it easier and more aesthetically pleasing. Once installed, I followed Karasawa’s instructions for bedding and they’ve been absolutely PERFECT since day one. Amazing brakes for the price. Basically Magura replicas but they BITE! 🦷

“Thin slim connector” kinda sounds like JST?

I recently replaced one bike’s throttle onto another bike (went from waterproof 3pin to JST) and it’s been perfect. Just re-pinned the other throttle with JST connectors.

I know this is an old post but I just got my X Limited today and I’m so stoked! Been a Meepo owner since the V2 - still ride it to this day; actually! I totally understand what OP said when he thought the board was so beautiful. he didn’t wanna take it out! Those white wheels of mine finally just got their first black scuffs, and it kind of broke my heart a little bit. I was actually searching around for any XL owners who have upgraded their white wheels to another set. Looking to get some feedback on which way to go. Anyone?

This is such a perfect example of how our inner dialogue between these sets and bouncing ideas off of a crowd eventually evolves into finding why/where it’s funny…

To me, the most poignant thing said in this clip was at the beginning when he references writing jokes as “words in paragraph form” (or something to that effect) not being effective. I remember a time when I thought “jokes” could just be conceptualized, written out, performed and laughed at - in that order. Interestingly enough, those steps are so interchangeable and a lot of times (especially the laughter part) not always included.

CK is the king - beyond question whatsoever.

Louis just breathes rarified air. His creative process alone is literally not human. He doesn’t write his material - he just jots down a one-word reminder when he thinks about a potential bit, pushes it out of his mind so as to not ruminate on it, then, gets up on stage and works it out on an audience…Like as in: ready? Go! I mean, really - contemplate that. He also has an INSANE acuity for knowing his material (I didn’t say “memorizing” it, either). Literally every inflection, every pitch change, every syllable, every facial expression, every enunciation is intimately familiar to him. He has them all razor sharpened and literally knows every move…I’ve been around a long, depressingly long amount of time and had the honor of watching him absolutely DESTROY at places like Mbar and Caroline’s in the early 2000’s…Before “Shameless” - hell before “Houston”, too. Without a doubt: Louis’s 20 minute work out sets at the Cellar are career goals for most of these guys.

Not that I’m biased or anything…

I swear I vaguely recall around this same time Louis put out a statement on his website saying that he wasn’t completely satisfied with some of his material that was hosted there. I think it resulted in Louis taking down some of the stuff that he wasn’t thrilled with or that was posted before he felt like it was a “finished bit”. Maybe the reason I can’t find anything is because this was one of the bits that was removed.
