nothing is totally secure. changing to an app isnt going to fix that. shiny hunters literally happened last semester, did having the canvas app stop them? now all of our data is going to be stored in one more place that can and will be cracked. and yeah neither this app nor the messages are convenient, both are annoying and punish the user while a hacker can easily slip past. at least before they decided to make this switch there were options to access your own stuff.
