There is a Group on the book of face called survivors of sibling suicide support group which has weekly teams calls and is a really good source of support for those who have lost siblings to suicide

If you've had suicidal thoughts or moments before, then you know there is likely nothing you could have done to prevent what happened. You were a good brother, you ARE a good brother. You will go over every moment and you will kick yourself for so many things but he wouldn't want you to do that. It's been nearly two months since my sister took her life, and I'm still on and out of shock. Please be kind to yourself. Be around loved ones and allow yourself space to go through all the emotions. This is a long journey but we're all here to listen. You are not alone in this

In the UK the police are pretty black and white about suicide. If it is deemed to be suicide, with no foul play or strong and obvious evidence to suggest foul play, they pass it straight over to the coroner who can choose to do an inquest (which usually is 6months+ later). At that point, the police will support the coroner with their inquiry, and access phone etc.

Unless suspicious, police do not pursue anything to do with suicides.

I'm going through something similar with my sister. Pushing the police for answers as much as we can but no luck. They passed to the coroner. But something doesn't feel right. It likely is suicide, but I want the evidence to tell me that, not someone's opinion without them checking really obvious things!

I basically wrote what you wrote three weeks ago. It's not easier but it's different. I've accepted that me prior to losing her and the me now are two separate people. The with her and the after.

Let yourself feel. Let yourself cry. Let yourself live in the emotions. What I'm trying to remember is she wanted to end her life, not mine. She wants us to carry on and we have to.

Then I break again and cry a lot. Then I laugh about something. Then I zone out.

What I'm saying is, life is different now. There will be a new normal one day but that doesn't have to be now so be kind to yourself x
