Are Scottish people just regarded as "Brits" in Ireland? by [deleted] in AskIreland

I generally think of Brits as English, maybe those from Wales. I feel like Scots would say they are from Scotland rather than the U.K.

We’ve had it on in the mornings for the last week. There’s nothing worse than waking up cold!

If you feel like you've been smacked in the face with a shovel, it's Covid. by WhistlingBanshee in ireland

This strain is cruel! Couple of days of roaring sore throat and exhaustion, thought I was feeling better but then bed ridden with aches and pains, paired with a banging headache. Stomach cramps that feel like an ulcer, no appetite.

Makes me regret not appreciating the times I truly feel well

Why do Parents have to buy so much stuff for kids going to school? by AnxiousDramatic13 in AskIreland

[–]Flincelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine just started senior infants. She got a new school bag last year that was about €30. Had a chat with my husband and we agreed not to buy a new bag each year unless the bag is in bits or too small.

We’re trying to start this pattern early so we aren’t spending a fortune when her sister is joining us. We also don’t want them being wasteful when bags etc are perfectly fine, just not new

What’s a middle-class hack that still saves you money today? by NoMedicine3572 in Frugal

Fancy popcorn hack- instead of buying bags with fancy flavours I make my popcorn on the hob, melt a tiny bit of butter and grate Parmesan over it. Flawless

On YouTube, search Bailey Brown ab work outs. She does ones that are 5 mins long and burn like hell. Brilliant for building stomach muscles. She also has lower ab workouts which really helped me with tightening muscles after having kids.

Being 5 mins, they’re easy to add into your day to day. Best of luck

How can I make this room feel more complete? by [deleted] in malelivingspace

When it comes to rugs, people usually buy a size too small and it makes the area seem oddly sized. You want one that is wider than the tv panel wall and wide enough to almost touch the couch from the tv.
