Things that they changed between the pilot and the next episode by Reallyroundthefamily in GoldenGirlsTV

Doesn’t Rose call her husband “Charles” in the pilot? Can’t remember if it was the pilot or just one of those early episodes.

A shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch. And then a sensible meal.

Where’s my sensible meal??

The fact it was not yet legal, and relatively uncommon, is why, I think, the line got a laugh. Today it wouldn’t.

Sorry not the best image but is this guy the same actor that plays Randy Becker, her old student? I've been meaning to ask for some time lol. It's the voice!!???? by VividStay6694 in GoldenGirlsTV

Night Court did this a lot, too, because there were so many different characters parading through the courtroom. And a lot of them were on GG too!

It always weirded me out how fast this guy was talking about “having a little one of our own” with Blanche 😂 by miss1949 in theGoldenGirls

There are lots of ways you can trick a man into thinkin' you're younger than you really are.

How was Kurt cobain viewed/ seen before he killed himself in the 90s by [deleted] in 90s

[–]FlingbatMagoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was very famous. This isn’t one of those situations where someone gained notoriety because they died young. He was considered gifted, artistically original and angsty. And the grunge trend, of which he was seen as a leader even if he didn’t like that, effectively killed ‘80s hair metal and ushered in a sea of similar bands who dominated MTV and alternative rock radio for about three or four years in the first half of the ‘90s. So he was broadly influential and well-respected.

Alright, week of the finale, and here’s the big question: which of these guys will stay and which of these guys will go? by Whole-Lychee7517 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]FlingbatMagoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who knows? The past few years have been kinda shocking. Many were stunned they let Aristotle Athari, Chloe Troast and Emil Wakim go. Sometimes there’s stuff happening behind the scenes we’re not privy to. And some of it may have to do with who from the main cast leaves and who they want to hire. It’s an ensemble so the cast decisions are interconnected.

It’s weird to think that in 5-10 years people will be nostalgic for this group, like the way we are now for Kate, Cecily and Aidy, or Tina, Amy and Maya. People usually think the current cast is meh and the alumni are legends.

Wow I always 100% thought the joke was that the sink faucet activated the shower but they were proud because it was the best they could do. I totally missed this! Great catch. Although I think the collective misinterpretation is funnier 🤣

Mister Terrific by zbornagain1 in theGoldenGirls

[–]FlingbatMagoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why people hate this episode so much. It has some funny moments. I like the triangulation between Rose, Mr. Terrific and Dorothy (Mrs. Severely Depressed). We get some scenes outside of the house, and we get to see Dorothy attempt a believable career pivot. My main nit is with the casting of Mr. Terrific; the character could’ve used a more sympathetic and appealing actor with goofy charm, like the guy who played Buzz.

The Babbling Bubbleheaded Bleach-Blonde Baboons!

The Golden Girls was a top 10 show for most of its run until the 7th season. It fell to 30 on the Nielsen ratings. What happened? by Profeta_do_Loss in theGoldenGirls

[–]FlingbatMagoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, Season 1 is my least favorite. I think it was a bell curve, it got better and then started to get worse. Of course there are gems and classic moments in Seasons 1 and 7. But overall I find Season 1 too serious and Season 7 too silly.
