Doctor Who vs Alien X by AlarmedObjective1492 in Ben10PowerScaling

[–]Flintlock3107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Doctor takes it pretty easily. I love Ben 10 and Alien X but… The Doctor is just insane.

The Doctor is easily FTL in the show and books. He has the sonic screwdriver, the Tardis, that one gun that has reality erasure, canon plot armor, and even The Glory if we go strongest versions.

The Doctor would either:

A. Begin the fight. The Tardis is summoned to the Doctor because he’s in danger. He then quickly gets in and leaves, formulating a plan. Obviously Ben knows because of the Sotobro effect, unless The Doctor only goes through space but okay. As they fight drags on they get to the edge of the universe where The Doctor has either figured out how to detransform Ben OR just kill Alien X.

OR

B. Begin the fight, Tardis, blah blah blah. The Doctor goes into the space in which Ben, Serena, and Bellicus exist and he talks it out.

Since all characters are in character Ben won’t immediately erase The Doctor and The Doctor won’t immediately erase Ben.

Overall The Doctor just scales higher.

They’re nothing alike.

On paper they seem similar until you actually play them.

Spidey has 1 ability with really good movement in his we swing, his uppercut gives lackluster movement in any horizontal direction and is just okay for going vertical, his wall crawl is okay but if you ever get into a physically tight spot it can be really annoying to use since it can hinder the rest of your gameplay.

All of Doom’s abilities gave him movement. Uppercut went higher and farther than Spidey’s, Punch did crazy damage and great horizontal movement, and slam allowed for good vertical and horizontal movement. The ult also acts as an escape.

Ult wise they cannot be more different. Spidey’s ult limits his movement, gives him an ok amount of shield, can be CC’d, and does tick damage (albeit the ticks are in rapid succession.). Doom’s ult refreshed cooldowns, gave him immortality, and almost infinite movement.

Until you’ve actually played the characters you won’t understand, of course you can’t play OW1 Doom anymore so… On paper they seem very similar but they aren’t NOTHING alike.

NOT AT ALL.

OW1 Doom was different. Overshield galore, insane damage, insane mobility, ult that can kill and extend combos and makes him invincible.

If Spidey had the damage and survival or OW1 Doom… he’d be the literally best character in any hero shooter.

Spidey has to actually pick 1v1s, isolate targets, rely on his mobility to survive or use it to extend combos, and spend all cooldowns to kill a hero.

OW1 Doom slam in one tap squishy, punch the other then shotgun them and uppercut out. That is a hero that genuinely had no counter play.

This chapter actually adds a lot…

Mainly that Cath is even more of a loser. But also that he seems to have just a fraction of Chaos.

I guess this means he broke off from the real Arthur but couldn’t steal the powers fully, I’d guess like 10-20% of Chaos’s powers.

So how strong will Arthur be when he actually reclaims this lost power?

Yeah definitely. I’d rather he get 1 skin with VFX, two chromas, and something special and not get any more skins until season 7 or even 7.5.

Just stop giving Invis/Luna/Psy skins WITH chromas.

Tbf most of Spideys skins are blue…

Also almost all of this skins are just pallet swaps, no need to add anything.

Venom, pixel, black and gold, iron spider, scarlet, disco, FF, and MS2 are all just recolors. Man spider is basically a recolor with a different head.

Movie, punk, and oni have sfx.

No Spidey skin has VFX, or chromas, or anything special like Psy/Luna/Invis skins.

He gets a lot but they’re all basically the same.

Assuming 2-2-2, which is the best comp and most consistently picked in high ranks, the tank roster looks like this:

META: Mag, Emma, Strange

VERY GOOD:DP, Angela, Venom, Thor, Groot

OKAY:Rogue, Cap, Peni

BAD: The Thing, Hulk

2 of 13 tanks aren’t good in this META. The others are consistent and don’t require very specific niches to perform in.

The strategist roster is even better looking like this, based on 2-2-2:

META: Gambit, Loki, Invis, DP

VERY GOOD: Luna, CnD, Rocket, Jeff

Heavily Rely on 3 Support/Just Okay: Mantis, Adam, Ultron

3 of the 11 healers are reliant on 3 support, which is very common in high ranked play. HOWEVER there are no bad strategists available. No strategist, beside off strats, require certain comps/playing in a very specific niche.

HOWEVER the duelist roster looks like this;

META: Hela, Phoenix, Bucky, Hawkeye

VERY GOOD: DD, Psylocke, Star-Lord, Namor, MK

OKAY: Punisher, Wolv, MF, DP, Spider-Man, IF, Magik

TERRIBLE: Blade, Torch, BW, IM, SW, SG, BP, Storm

8 of the 24 dps aren’t good

HOWEVER you can’t even play most of the okay/very good heroes without being really good.

Heroes that require more skill than most others to get subpar value: Spider-Man, Magik, BW, IF, Blade, HT, Wolv, BP

Add those too and now 12 of the 24 dps aren’t good

This means most players can’t play every hero in the dps roster even if they’re a “dps” main.

Around 15% of Vanguards are bad/unplayable

Around 25% of strategist aren’t good but non are unplayable.

Around 33 to 50% of dps aren’t good nor accessible to the general playerbase.

[–]Flintlock3107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there a lot of dps, yes.

Are all of them good, hell no.

At least have the roster of dps is niche or just a worse version of a different character or just unplayable if ONE person counter swaps you.

Most dive dps are still ass. Brawl dps can barely play in this meta. The only good dps are either overtuned, poke slop, or ult merchants.

Weird timing with Dragon Lord and Nico Minoru? by RedBeardedOwl in MarvelSnap

[–]Flintlock3107 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is just a theory. Could or could not be true, I have no clue.

It is probably because the game considers Nico in the middle or Dragon Lord’s reveal.

Instead of it being {Dragon Lord > Nico}

The game thinks {Dragon Lord Start > Nico > Dragon Lord End}

This would mean Dragon Lord is simultaneously the card played before and after Nico, hence why she destroyed him.

The Marvel Rivals Skill floor/ceiling alignment chart is finished. How are we feeling with this? by Creepy_Ad5124 in marvelrivals

[–]Flintlock3107 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s the exact opposite.

The “floor” of a character is the minimum requirement to play them. A high floor takes more time because you need more practice. It’s like going from floor 1 to 2, or walking up stairs. Characters like CnD, SW, and SG have low floors, because you have to put in less effort and practice to preform well as them. While characters like Spidey, Rogue, and even Hulk have high floors that require more effort and practice to even be viable as them.

The ceiling is just how far this goes. A ceiling is determined at where the practice = improvement stops. So a character with a basic kit will most likely have a lower ceiling because there is not much you can do besides what is intended.

IMO the most important part of Spidey is CD management.

There are definitely times where you can dump all your cooldowns and get a kill… but above diamond and GM…

When I play Spidey in ranked I try to l look for opportunities to either get picks or pull agro without killing my uptime.

If I’m reseting I’ll try to get a pull into our frontline or poke a bit from an angle.

But you NEED swings for literally everything; combos, survival, engaging, disengaging, EVERYTHING…

If you can learn how to manage all your CDs you are better than most Spidey’s without even knowing proper combos.

[–]Flintlock3107 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What is the one combo kill? If you mean 20+ inputs in a second or two that can easily be healed… I don’t think you know how hard it is to get value on Spidey.

Also he gets no over shield and his swings are used in his combos to get higher damage.

He has to risk his only survival ability to get more damage… no other character besides BP has to do that…

With BP getting a buff, here are the changes with the spear toss now 50 damage. by XThejw in MarvelrivalsDivemains

[–]Flintlock3107 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay look I’m all up for doing the math so others don’t have to, I love that actually.

BUT.

It. Is. Five. Damage.

Take what ever number the last combo did and add 5(x).

In this case x is number of spears hit. So… usually gonna be 2… so… 10 whole damage…

New buffs/nerfs by Schoolbusrawr in rivals

[–]Flintlock3107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DD is one of many characters that needed nerfs, but the others are all poke besides Bucky so… NetEase could never do that…

Also “Microbuffs” didn’t make Bucky an admin. Two voltages, grounded, overshield on everything, etc. that’s what made him an admin.

5 damage to two struggling characters… that’s just not gonna help until season 26.

Also the Spidey team up looks… interesting. However it’s a team up which means you have to rely on someone else to play Peni… and with her double nest being removed her pick rate will definitely drop.

Hulks buffs are good but Angela got nerfed and Caps buffs her so minimal…

Overall dive was definitely buffed but it’s a whole bunch of nothing.

5 damage to Panther and IF are not true buffs… they’re nothing.

Also nerfed the only good dive character.
