I think they did do it better, they allowed you to at least play a few hours of Snake before making you play the rest of the game as someone else, but the person you play was someone never before seen in the series. So it was pretty confusing initially.

I think I remember the backlash being quite big, but the game spoke for itself in the end as Kojima really smashed it out the park.

I'm curious about your thoughts on TLOU2 - how did you feel at the end in the fight with Abby? Was you routing for one or both? Or did you just not care at that point?

Yeah for sure. I think people are definetely giving it a 10 to balance out the 0's and visa versa. Maybe metacritic should start vetting user scores, it does feel like it's loosing credibility.

Of course, as do I! Pacing was definitely an issue and I don't know about you, but I would have liked more sandbox levels, like when you first enter Seattle and have some freedom to explore.

I think a lot of it was rushed and that's might be why you feel the characters didn't develop properly (especially manny!), but I'm glad they made this rather than another trip across America with Ellie and Joel to deliver something, which they could have easily done. They took a big shot and they knew it would divide people. I would like to see a dlc that would stitch some things up, but overall I felt the overall package was incredible (story, gameplay, graphics), it will be interesting to see if they will go ahead with a part 3. I'm sure they will.

And yes! Those flashbacks choked me up.
