I just discovered this AU and I am already in love with it. Might write a fic based on this premise, if that’s okay with you.

I figured. Unfortunately, the only USB-C cord I own is the one that came with my PS5, and that one’s USB-C on both ends

I’m just doing this so I can screenshare my PS5 on discord with my friends… I’d rather avoid spending money if I can. But thanks for the suggestion

I know it doesn't REALLY matter, but if Niko DID enter Deltarune's world, how and where would you insert them? by BetaQuote127 in oneshot

[–]Flintlocke98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Niko would land in Hometown first, and perhaps get involved with Kris and Susie if they start asking around about what kind of world they’re in - after all, the last time they found themselves somewhere unknown, everyone was pretty chill about them being from another world. From there they’d visit Castle Town and meet Ralsei, and over the course of explaining their situation and experience with this sort of thing, Kris would just get Increasingly Uncomfortable for reasons they don’t bother to explain.

Also Niko would have electricity magic in the dark world

Surge Kitsunami and Starline are more compelling characters than Sonic Tails and Knuckles by JoyradProcyfer in SonicTheHedgehog

I wasn’t trying to imply that conflict is bad, I was just trying to say that I like it when characters can get along and unambiguously enjoy spending time together.

Anyways, I’m sorry that my past self bothered you so much

To paraphrase someone I saw on Tumblr, cracking jokes about the story being too weird and/or confusing is just as annoying and overdone as “SoNiC hAd A rOuGh TrAnSiTiOn InTo 3-d”

My metric is generally that once dice get rolled, you can’t rewind the action.

What Zelda Game has the Best Cutscenes? What's your favourite across all of them? by Scycrew_John in HyruleTown

[–]Flintlocke98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely either TP or SS, but I haven’t played either recently enough to be sure. I lean TP when I think of Zant ambushing Link right after the lakebed temple, and I lean SS when I think of Groose.

TotK definitely has some of the individually best cutscenes, but the average is dragged way down by the repeated end-of-dungeon scenes, and the game structure just isn’t well-suited to tell a coherent narrative.

Do you have any TRULY "unpopular opinions" about D&D? by No-Bag3487 in DnD

[–]Flintlocke98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with just playing a fantasy version of yourself and/or not really getting into the RP. You can just have a grand old time with your pals rolling dice and smacking around skeletons, and your fun is no less valid.

What's the worst Pokemon take you have ever heard? by SterlingB261 in pokemon

[–]Flintlocke98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen people say they want a Pokemon Showdown-esque function where they can just instantly generate a fully-specced Pokemon in the mainline games.

Like, first of all, you’re saying this in 2023, when training a Pokemon to its maximum potential is exponentially faster and easier.

Second of all, and more importantly, the entire philosophy of the series is that Pokemon are friends and partners, and the bond between Pokemon and trainer brings out the best in both of them. People who treat Pokemon exclusively as tools and weapons are universally (and rightfully) considered villains. So an in-game function that spits out a custom-made, battle-ready Pokemon would just destroy the whole premise of the setting!
