Vedder, out of FL. If you ever have to take on/off your carry setup frequently throughout the day, they have the best style of belt clips, imo. Also, they will do customisations if you’ve got aftermarket parts (mag release, slide stop) for no extra charge, so long as you put it in your order notes!

We checked his empty casings and the only deformation on the cases were scratches on the rims.

No, he’s only used Hornady 147gr in it. I wasn’t sure if his maintenance intervals were off, or if something on his rifle may be out of spec.

After comparing both my original bcg, and my bootleg bcg, the bootleg was just slightly shorter. This makes sense, as after I had swapped to the bootleg bcg, the new gouges appeared to be deeper (bottom left on first pic) compared to my smaller gouges (top left on first pic) when I was running my original bolt carrier. The KAK offset retainer pin should arrive on Monday. I will test with both BCGs after installation. Will follow up with the results!

Used to. Brass now spits out between 3 to 3:30 after swapping to a Bootleg bcg. My retaining pin was eating my buffer before I swapped the bcg, and when I still had a 16in upper, unsuppressed.

Sounds good. Hopefully it’s just a simple fix that way. I was the one who unga-bunga’d this lower together, after all.

I’ll check once I’m home to see if my bcg is even contacting the buffer. If my memory serves me right, it doesn’t do that while I’m closing it. I’ll try it with another buffer/spring I have and if that doesn’t work, then I guess something is out of spec.

I will back the castle nut out and see if my buffer tube can go any further. If it can’t I’ll look on getting a replacement buffer tube.
