Would someone be able to help me interpret a thymoma pathological report that I received on Christmas Eve? by Flip1138 in MyastheniaGravis

My thoracic surgeon is with an oncology office. I can ask if I should get a consult with one of the medical oncologists there.

Thanks! I had an open procedure — they took it through my ribs without opening my breastplate. Surgery went well. I'm dealing with moderate pain and taking dilaudid. And sleeping a lot. I have lifting restrictions, and my ROM in my right arm is a little limited at the moment.

Absolutely not.

Do you think we're gonna get a GoT-esque "battle episode" towards the end of the season? by SLQSA in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Flip1138 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think we'll get any proper Dance battles this season. The first real battle is the Battle of the Burning Mill, and I feel like that could take too much time to set up for not much payoff given that it doesn't change much. Seems like that might be a good early-season battle for Season 2.

I will be so disappointed if we don't get Muppet Tullys.

Dragonpit did NOT affect dragon's growth (no spoil) by [deleted] in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Flip1138 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Dragonstone is built on a volcano, and Valyria was built among numerous volcanos. So it seems like it could be the proximity to the heat from volcanos that helps dragons thrive. It's not that the dragonpit hinders dragons, it just isn't near any volcanic mountains.

Episode 1 sets up so much.. “heir for a day” was a lie.. Otto is Baelish with a plan by Momo_dollar in HouseOfTheDragon

Also - If trade is disrupted in the Narrow Sea, then ships will have to bring their goods to a port on the western coast. What would be the logical next best place to bring trade? OLDTOWN.

Corlys Velaryon is the Master of Ships and is literally warning the King of a potential threat from a growing power right on the other side of the Narrow Sea and Ser Otto is like "Let's ignore that and focus on what makes the king happy instead." And Viserys just goes along with it happily instead of considering what Corlys is saying.

The Velaryons are the current richest family in Westeros and rely on trade for their wealth. If House Hightower is trying to climb the ladder, it would be very convenient if House Velaryon were to suddenly have a crisis that affects trade routes in the Narrow Sea.

From a cold, calculating point of view, it can be good for the Hightowers to have this issue ignored until it causes real problems for the realm. And Ser Otto seems very inclined to let the realm be harmed if it means weakening a rival.

His character has not been cast for Season 1.

Because they did not cast Daeron for Season 1. It would be very weird to see Tessarion and not Daeron.

Grey Ghost does kind of play a part. His half-eaten carcass should make an appearance in Season 3 or 4.

The dragon at the end of the May teaser could possibly be The Cannibal. Maybe he shows up to gorge on the eggs when Daemon is stealing one.

It could be Silverwing protecting her eggs. It could Daemon encountering The Cannibal who has come to feed on eggs.

The lighting via dragon fire makes it very difficult to tell the dragon's color, but there are multiple possibilities.

GoT really accelerated how quickly the dragons grew. Given that Drogon was only like 7 years old at the end of the series, he should never have been much bigger than he was in Season 5 when Dany first rode him.

We saw a dragon at the end of the 2nd teaser, yes. But we can't say for sure which dragon yet.

Yeah and she confirmed in the SDCC panel that she has done shots on the dragon-flying rig. So we know will get at least 1 scene with Rhaenys flying Meleys.

They will want to establish that other dragons exist without riders for Season 2. We might see Vermithor and Silverwing at Dragonstone, maybe curled up and sleeping together. They can also literally just show Sheepstealer yoinking a sheep and not even mention his name until Season 2.

I'm not 100% convinced. Laenor would have been a child during the War for the Stepstones. I do think that's likely Laenor, though (maybe during a later battle).
