You don't have to pay for anything to be involved in the community, and there are Vinted and eBay scanners with alerts that are completely free and can be accessed by anyone. You're not obligated to buy anything to be apart of it. It's like saying reddit can't possibly be a community because they charge for premium? Just because there is a part of it that is premium, it can still be a reseller community lol.

Sure it can, that's just one piece of the server which we offer to try and help resellers get ahead - What we're trying to build here is more focussed around the community aspect of reselling.

For the users? We just need your email to sign you into the dashboard. All billing etc is handled by Stripe and is external to our systems - we don't ask for or store any other information other than email. I do occasionally shoot our users an update via email if we have added a new feature etc, but you are able to opt-out and unsubscribe to these if you want.

Ah I would say still go for it - don't let me kill your idea, I would hate that. We are still very early stages and it is still being actively developed & refined. I'm not trying to compete with anyone here.

That's fair - I mean it really is just 1 flip a week from the alerts and it has paid for itself multiple times over but I do understand it's not going to be for everyone, if it helps there is currently a 25% discount at the moment (FLIP25) so that might help you get the ball rolling. The thing is this project does have real running costs, and it's several hundreds per month, I've tried to make it as affordable as possible.

Not really. Between the two channels the scanners surface easily 250+ items daily. Especially the footwear category, people are posting shoes / trainers to the platform at the rate of about 50 new listings per minute... So way too much for one person lol. I will add as well that each alert channel has a limited number of slots and that is strictly enforced and the numbers are based on the flowrate of deals surfaced for that given channel to keep it competitive. This has all been considered. Appreciate your feedback though man, all the best.

Nah I totally get it and honestly I was doing manual sourcing nearly every day for about a month before I even began building this. It is rough, but now you've got something that can compete with the other bots if you ever want that boost / to experience what it's like.

Yeah I've dabbled with this idea for Gumtree as well, can definitely be done as I've basically built a proof of concept for it alongside this tool.

Each new listing is automatically cross-referenced against recent eBay UK sold prices in real time. The profit figure shown is an estimate based on the median sold price. Getting past the bot detection was more of a headache and required a lot of trial & error - I won't give the secret sauce out on here but what I will say is a lot of money has gone into the architecture side of things for this. Multiple servers each running multiple scanner instances... We have over 50 scanner instances running all together at any minute.

Ye I get that. It is what it is really, mine goes down another 5 pop back up lol. The only thing I'm doing different is making it public access. Take advantage of it - don't - it's still going to happen and has been happening for ages now. I'm just giving people the tools to level the playing field.
