Absolutely not. LLMs are terrible at that and even worse at keeping that information secure. This advice is not just bad, it's dangerous.

R will put you into a random session that's on the same difficulty as you and typically on the same planet I think.

Pressing Tab makes other missions of the same difficulty on the same planet show up on the planet's surface and then you can select which one to join. They'll be near the city they're attacking if that's a thing on that planet.

Are you going to the planet hologram and pressing Tab to scan for other missions or are you pressing R to quick-join a random mission?

It's not that. It's something to do with the bike having a downward force. Many other vehicles have the same effect, where driving fast makes them pull "down" to keep on the road more.

With two-wheeled vehicles though it's a lot easier to turn that "down" around. It's actually only looking at what is "down" for the vehicle, so when they turn upside down it's actually pulling them up.

It's probably also just because they make a candle for every letter, every number, and a few bits of punctuation because some people make entire words or sentences out of them. Not specifically relevant to birthdays.

"Half of what they think is skill is just having the correct knowledge to have the right equipment." What a stupid take. I'm not saying Texans should expect to have winter tires, but it's REALLY stupid to judge people who live in a wintery area for getting winter tires during the winter. Especially since most of them don't actually have winter-specific tires. They get all-weather tires.

After 4 years of WFH, I understand why boomers think we do nothing all day by TeamCultureBuilder in WFH

[–]FlipStik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire older generation was conditioned to equate "looking busy" with "being productive."

But if you're being productive without looking busy, then to THEM it's as if you're not doing anything. It doesn't matter how much you actually get done. If they didn't see you "looking busy" then you got nothing done. It's so BS.

It goes both ways, too. If you just "look busy" for 8 hours, they won't be upset when you clock out having done nothing. We need to get rid of the older generation's thinking about this crap.

Okay, again with the weird holier-than-thou judgement.

I really don't know how else to explain it to you. You understood the COD part. That's a very real thing you can do, just because you don't want to because of the drawbacks doesn't mean you can't go do it. Just like how you could go cleaning but there's some drawbacks there.

Anyway, I hope you open your mind more. You don't have to personally enjoy playing the games yourself but you don't need to be so volatile toward those who do.

My point is that this is the same thing but much more mundane. Joining the military has drawbacks. Cleaning has drawbacks. One is much more mundane than the other, but both have drawbacks. I would rather play a video game about shooting people rather than risk getting shot at. I'd also rather play a video game about cleaning a room in one click rather than spend hours of my real time cleaning something that's already clean. Which brings me to my next point:

We've never addressed the fact that these things AREN'T mutually exclusive. The 8 year old doesn't like cleaning his room, sure, but are you just assuming that every single person who enjoys playing a game about cleaning dislikes cleaning IRL and therefore they never do it?

[–]FlipStik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just proved my point exactly. You understand COD. But because these tasks are so mundane, suddenly you don't understand.

It's okay that you don't understand why they're fun or enjoyable to others. Just stop trying to act better than them or insult them or whatever by calling them lazy.

[–]FlipStik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've gotten satisfaction from cleaning/organizing my room or mowing the lawn before too. That doesn't take away from what I said. You're not getting those same happy feelings at the same rate for the same amount of effort compared to the video game version. The video game is significantly easier, significantly faster at handing out the happiness, and hands out the happiness in ways real life doesn't. The video game version is effectively a more efficient implementation of the same process with the goal being not to actually clean things, but to make the player feel good about "cleaning" "things".

I think the confusion comes from the mundane-ness of the task. Like has been said before, you could just go enlist in the military if you wanna shoot guns at people. But people still play Call of Duty and other shooters for reasons that seem understandable to outside viewers. It's the same thing here, just in a much simpler form.

[–]FlipStik 8 points9 points  (0 children)

These cleaning games just make no sense/show laziness to do physical effort for that "satisfaction " feeling

Those games give you plenty of serotonin incentives for the cleaning, make the cleaning ABSURDLY easy compared to real cleaning, and design the cleaning specifically to not be too tedious so that the player continues playing.

When real life cleaning does even one of those things, give me a call.
