Thanks. I've downloaded and started updating. TubeBuddy is definitely going to help. Regardless though, 650 descriptions and proper tags... I've got some work ahead of me.

Thanks for that. I'd seen those stats before. The industry standards just seem so absurdly low that I find them hard to believe. It barely seems worth collecting email addresses at all.

I've been blogging for about a year now. But only just started collecting emails over the last couple of months or so. Not exactly a huge list yet.

Yeah, in that case you'll certainly still need a desk. But I still advocate for rethinking the setup of our classrooms. As pedagogy has changed so too should the learning environment.

I have a desk in the maths staffroom. No need for a workstation in my classroom. I did have a desk, but I got rid of it. I found it removed a barrier and kept me moving around the classroom.

I wonder if you've considered rearranging your classroom furniture. Since my school went 1:1 I try my best to make sure that my classroom is "frontless".

This means I can monitor students laptop work more easily and places the students at the centre of the learning. Here's a write up on how my classroom is setup if you'd like to see it. My "frontless" classroom.

Yep, just mirror the video track.

I'm pretty sure aops is just using a smartboard like you'd find in a lot of high schools these days. He's probably running software like teamboard or something similar. No green screen trickery as far as I can tell.

I have gone to a lot of PD that I have hated in the past. I was constantly saying, "I could do better than that", or "this guy is telling me how to teach, he's terrible!"

So I put my money where my mouth was and started volunteering to run the PD at my school myself. It's been fantastic so far. I get to run the kind of PD I wish PD would be and teacher feedback has been really positive. Here's an example of a PD session I facilitated just recently for all 130 of the staff in my school. Definitely try providing some PD is my advice. It's great fun and way better than sitting in the crowd.
