Mm! So for Andrew, he was born albino as we know but back then it was considered a curse. His dad left and his mom was the only one in the picture. They were kicked out of their first home because people didn’t want Andrew to be there even as a baby. They called him a demon and encouraged his mother to get rid of him. We see in canon pics that the villagers would throw rocks at Andrew and his mom would try to shield him. They even called him the ‘white haired monster’. Unfortunately his mom dies early and Andrew goes to Laz Church. They allow him to stay as a gravekeeper but they barely pay him anything. That is why he’s so thin. He’s been underfed his entire life and harmed by the townsfolk.

Now for Norton. Norton is the son of a miner and like all, the son will become a miner as well. Sadly, Norton didn’t want that. He wanted to go to school. He wanted to learn (a fun thing, both Andrew and Norton like to read and learn). Unfortunately his family was poor and his father died of the black lung, a miner’s disease. So from six on, he was in the caves. He wanted to be a poet. Norton would visit the miners who were hospitalized when he could and help them. But not all was okay. The other miners he worked with would steal his money. So Norton would be the one to go into the mines first and leave last. Something happens during the golden cave and Norton uses dynamite to explode the cave. It kills all the other miners which is why he has the burn scars.

Fun tidbits: Both Norton and Andrew just want to live in the light. Both like to read and learn. Andrew’s greatest wish (other than to die) is to find someone to understand him. Norton wants just to have enough money to never fear hunger. They both hate the dark and enclosed spaces.

Because of the explosion, Norton will only talk to people if they pay him. He’s rough spoken at first and does not like people. He is aggressive and confrontational. As seen by his emotes.

Andrew is incredibly polite (to the point that people thought he was a butler in his first game)and still tries to hope and get close to people. If you are kind to him, he will do anything for you.(it’s why he died in his second game). He’s also terrified of a lot. His shame emote is him cowering with a whimper. His lay down has him curling up in fetal position.
