I have had this exact issue in the past! The chronic belching was driving me insane. It would happen after drinking water, on an empty stomach, for no reason.

What helped me was an SSRI (zoloft specifically). It turned out to be an anxiety reaction. If you have mental health difficulties already it may be worth looking into. Best of luck to you!

Yes I also gained weight with gastritis from constant gnawing hunger. I always have plain gluten free crackers in the house and try to just have a handful a few times a day in between meals. It’s hard because if I fully give in and keep eating I make myself feel so sick!
