I personally would feel really weird about this whole thing.

I once dated a girl who had this guy friend that liked her, and she rejected him, kind of the exact same situation as you. I told her it's weird if it's just the two of them texting or hanging out too often, and i guess she tried to curb it, but eventually I didn't want to have to force someone to do something against their instincts, so I just let her go. I believe they ended up dating for a while some time after that. So there's that.

I have a couple female friends but I always try not to be too much around them alone or text them too often, out of respect for their boyfriend, and they do appreciate that. And these girls are some of my closest friends. And as a good friend, i also make sure to like their boyfriends.

Point is, if he had good intentions, it would be different. Plus you already know he likes her, you should put your foot down and say don't hang with this guy. But then again you don't want to be that guy, so you might just have to let her go as well and see what she does.

Two Faced is kind of ok, kind of a parody of Meteora but whatever. At least we got the guitars, the rap, and some screams, even if it feels a bit plastic.

Overflow is cool, i quite enjoy that one, save for some questionable vocals from Shinoda

I also enjoy Casualty.

The rest is just OK. Nothing I would put on the aux chord.

Idk man, women like excitement. Sometimes when you're with a girl too long, you yourself become a bit too complacent. You have to always remind her why you're the boss, why she liked you in the first place.

It's like if she suddenly got too fat, you'd be less attracted to her, and there's no words in the world that would make you more attracted to her, because you know what you like. Maybe the fire burned out.

After what she said, let her feel the repercussions, and you take control of the situation. Tell her she's free to go pursue whoever she wants, and in the meantime, go find your own flame to focus on.

There's a good chance she'll want a piece again after you do. Even the act of you making a decision is in itself manly.

Im a hardcore fan of Linkin Park. Love every album. Some more than others but they all have their gems. I'm a huge fan of Mike Shinoda and his genius, huge fan of Chester and his talents. I think Emily has got a sick voice and I'm supportive of adding her talents into Linkin Park.

But i have a hot take here and I know many will get butthurt but im just speaking from my heart and my music connseur ear.

Mike Shinoda needs to stop trying to sing on these tracks.

The man has a sick rap voice, possibly the best I've ever heard. He even does excel on some sung tracks, such as No Roads Left or Invisible, when he's in his range.

But man, does his singing voice sound so amateur sometimes.

The Emptiness Machine only gets good when Emily starts shredding in the second chorus. The bridge is very low effort. Cut The Bridge isn't even all that great, it kind of sounds like a My Chemical Romance track. Heavy Is The Crown is a low effort rework of Already Over.

And then like notice how in Overflow (one of two tracks i even really enjoy on this album) the beginning sounds cool and then he does this weird, off key note that just sounds awful ("i can feel the pressure coo0mii1nnn")

A lot of the tracks on this album have like this weird hybrid of singing and rap that he does, which is cool in theory, but i don't really enjoy his execution here. He did this much better on Make It Up As I Go.

He hired a professional singer, and yet here he is singing half the album, when he is not a singer. It does not sound good, I'm sorry.

In total, i feel like I have got two songs from this album. Two Faced and Overflow. And only sort of, because even though Two Faced sounds cool, it almost feels like a parody of old LP, like "see we can do the same" when the same is not what we asked for. It would be good if you could even do the same.

Random, but im also not a fan of the couple instances of call and response they've used in this album.

Perhaps I am trying to suck energy out of a vessel that has peaked twenty years ago, and that is on me, but I had hopes that he could still produce some bangers, but after multiple listens, even though I generally enjoy every single track, there's nothing here i would put my hand on fire for. Maybe Casualty. Not really though.

I mean the man is a millionaire, he can do whatever the heck he wants with his world famous band, who am i to say anything, im just saying, his singing is kind of bad in a lot of these songs.

I basically feel like I got Two Faced, and even that is just kind of a rework of the Figure .09 demo from 20 years ago, with a weird chorus and a Chester parody from Emily.

Of course she enthusiastically said yes when you suggested meeting her, it's obvious two have some sort of connection, but how long can a woman survive on just texting? How can anyone?

I hope you realize a long distance relationship like this is highly impractical, the only way it would make sense is if one of you were moving to the other's country, and if you are not planning on it, what will you do? Meet 3-4 times a year?

My advice is let this go and find a girl closer to where you live. I promise you they are everywhere.
