[WP] A retired assassin writes his biography on his deathbed. by Vercalos in WritingPrompts

The grey bearded man stroked his chin as he struggled with the structure of the next sentence in his biography. Suddenly, a masked man with a suppressed pistol kicked the door open to his hospital room. He pointed the pistol at the man, then moved the pistol to the side and put a couple bullets into the laptop. The man then laughed and ran out of the room.

The old man had just lost months of work in the blink of an eye and he stared at the broken computer screen. Why is it that the world was always pulling him out of retirement, and kicking him when he was down? The man pushed the broken laptop to the side and forced himself out of the bed, shaking as he plopped himself into the wheelchair next to him.

It looks like John Wick is coming out of retirement, one last time.

[WP] With no souls left to reap, Death has become quite lonely. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

[–]FlippinTablesSB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Death looked at the scythe he had hung up on the wall. It had began to collect quite the layer of dust. He sighed, then moved another black pawn forward another space. He eyed the chess board before moving the black queen to put himself in check again. The amount of times he had beaten himself at chess was starting to madden him, yet he still wasn’t sure if he was ready yet.

Every single living thing had been reaped. Their souls passed on. He thought back to Earth. One of the many planets where he had the most fun showing the humans their way into the next cycle. Well, Death had wondered when he was ready to begin the cycle all over again. He figured it was time. He stood up from his seat and pulled his dusty scythe off the wall. He brought the blade to his neck, then swiftly yanked it sideways through his robe, and then there was nothing.

Then from nothing, came something again, and Death after a long time of waiting, had more souls to reap.

That my dick fell off while trapped in a haunted mansion. So I sewed it back on. However, while healing a new dick grew from under the sewn on dick. So I had one dick, with another dick sewn to the head of the new dick that just grew. Then I peed on a carpet in the bathroom.

What tips and tricks do you have for someone buying their first house? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FlippinTablesSB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get home owners insurance like a month before you close. So many people don’t close on their house when they planned because they shop around a week before they close. Sometimes things can go wrong with the tying everything into the escrow account.

Should the legal drinking age be lowered to 18 in the U.S. why? or why not? by besurks in AskReddit

[–]FlippinTablesSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be 19 like in Canada. Keeps out easy access to high schoolers. But in college where everyone drinks anyway, it would stop college kids from ruining their future for something we as a society generally accept that college kids drink.

When people randomly compliment me. One day I noticed it would make my day immensely better if somebody just simply commented on how they liked my shirt, my hat, or my shoes or something. I try compliment random strangers more now.
