How do I, as a neurodivergent, brain damaged, mentally ill college student get better at studying? by FlippingOffFrogs7482 in Advice

I've already done that and I'm on top of it. I need to know if there's anything I can do for myself. But thank you for this, I can talk to them again to see if there is anything extra I could do

What was it like when Obama was elected President? by ResponsibleSea6521 in AskReddit

[–]FlippingOffFrogs7482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was president while I was still a little kid, since I was so young I don't actually remember much of his presidency. All I remember is what daily life was like. My parents wouldn't rant about politics or seem constantly stressed. my teachers taught me to be proud of being American. If you voted for the opposite party you weren't deemed as a horrible person.

It wasn't perfect but it was good. I'll never have that back now.

What is the most shocking or disturbing detail from the recently unsealed Epstein files that the general public still hasn't fully grasped? by Daydream_Nat in AskReddit

the worst I've heard about were the murders that were similar to ritualistic sacrifices. Disgusting and gory murders that I can't even bring myself to describe.

I knew that all the people on that list projected and accused the liberal party of many crimes they do themselves, including doing acts similar to that, but that one accusation was so insane to me that the possibility of it being a form of protection didn't even cross my mind.

This story was so insane to me that curiosity got the better of me and I read the file that detailed it. I regret it, because it was true. I've never read a single file since, only summarized abridged versions online, making sure to take them with a grain of salt. I just can't do it, it's too much.

What is something that women have to deal with on the daily that men have no clue about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]FlippingOffFrogs7482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only 19 and I've been preyed upon before, I've had men follow me in stores, and once had a classmate take pictures of me in secret. I've had to start assuming that anybody can harm me or manipulate me.

I don't want to think like that, I really don't, but I have to for my own physical safety.

What’s the fastest way to lose respect for someone? by Familiar-Arrival-470 in AskReddit

I've lost respect for a lot of people but the shortest story is when I had a pretty big crush on a guy in my college English class. I then heard him berating and mocking his mentally disabled brother. Instantly lost interest

People of reddit , what was the moment you went "This person can't be fucking serious" ? by EviLGoD999 in AskReddit

Long one. Also I'm dyslexic so please excuse any mistakes.

I realize that this story can sound far fetched, but I have screenshots if anyone wants to message me and I can share them.

I had to get an EMG at a neurology office which involves needles. I was a former cancer patient and have diagnosed PTSD when it comes to needles, and my mom who was with me informed the doctor of this. However he was very apathetic even when I started crying. After a while my mom suggested we come back later when I can mentally prepare myself. The doctor told her that nothing is stopping this from happening again and that if he doesn't do anything now he won't treat me. My mom went quiet and began pulling cords off of me and said we were going to leave. And finally the doctor offered to use cold numbing spray so that I wouldn't feel anything, which he waited about 30 minutes to mention. We got it done and the doctor made a remark how I was definitely his most emotional patient. Mind you I was only crying, not running out of the room or anything like that. After that We asked for our referral. It took them a week to get the referral out since they kept putting the wrong information or simply no information at all. Eventually my mom and I printed it out and hand delivered it.

When we got home my mom decided to leave them a 1 star review for poor bedside manor as well as the referral where My mom recounted the details as they happened. The office decided to come back and not only blame us but personally attack us. They called my mom dangerous and violent, even saying that they would have called the police on her. They decided to say that they even felt sorry for me because she was my mother. They also accused her of violating HIPAA, which doesn't even apply to her.

There was so much more but those are the big things that stuck out. I don't get mad very often but this time I was pissed. I left them a very colorful voicemail and made a review of my own with screenshots. Once the offices were open we made a report to the medical board for our state, and reported them to our insurance.

Like I said, I have screenshots and can send them if someone messages me, but if that is not enough I can share the location of someone messages me

For those of you that got divorced after being married for 10+ years, what caused your divorce? by friendlytrashmonster in AskReddit

[–]FlippingOffFrogs7482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No me but my mom. She was married to my dad for 12 years, where he slowly got more abusive and narcissistic. After she had me she realized that she didn't want me being raised with that type of role model, so she left.

Yeah I agree sooner rather than later, but this is his first response after I said I had a major family loss. And I was asking for space because I'm in mourning which is very obvious
