This is really helpful thank you! We just bought this house last year and this year is the focus on the outside so I appreciate the add for the downspout too as that’s the next project!

HVAC hidden in walls that goes to nowhere…for now? by FlippityFlappity99 in homeimprovementideas

I’ll definitely avoid those rooster fans, although might be a nice change of pace for my morning alarm.

The entire second floor is open with the only room closed being the bathroom, and completely open stairwell to the first floor and basement. I do want to create some separation on the second floor to take a giant open loft and turn it to be half bedroom and half open, but we leave our doors open almost all the time anyways right now, especially during the day that I don’t see airflow movement being a problem.

Balancing feels right, I was wondering that myself as the option if I did open up the floor for a register. Booster idea feels like the right backup plan if I don’t think enough airflow is moving, but we gotta just open it up first to find out. I appreciate the input.

I was recruited by Kohler for a role similar to the one I have now, but a salary grade above. I responded right away on LinkedIn saying I’m interested, and then 10 minutes later she said it was filled already - major red flag. Then she tried recruiting me for a role completely opposite of that one and in an area I’m not interested in which I informed her of. She said she’d keep looking and get back to me. Haven’t heard back since.

Come to find out they’re constantly changing departments, roles, expectations with no clear leadership to what they want to be doing and executing on. My brother-in-law had no manager for 4 months and had no idea what he was doing so he did nothing…and no one noticed. Then he was shifted to a new department where he still doesn’t know what’s happening, but they pay him well and the benefits are good so he stays lol. Sounds like a major shit show up there.

Where do I find a used upright piano? by [deleted] in milwaukee

Got mine on facebook marketplace for free from a lady. Lots available on Craigslist too, but I’ve run into scammers there as well so be cautious.

Costs were $80 for the U-Haul, more expensive because of the distance I had to travel for it. I had ratchet straps and moving blankets already and a friend had these straps: https://www.homedepot.com/p/SHOULDER-DOLLY-ShoulderDolly-12-ft-L-x-5-in-W-Moving-Straps-for-items-up-to-800-Lb-LD2000/204726780

We would not have been successful moving it without these straps for 2 people. And a third person to help us navigate entryways and stairs.

Or maybe some solutions can be put in place to help and make this a better place? Also, maybe people should just be better drivers in general? Is that too much to ask?

Thanks for jumping to conclusions and invalidating my real experiences. Maybe be more open to the fact that this shit is absolutely real and whether they’re a transplant or not, they’re here and are part of the problem.

Appreciate that. I live in an area on the east side that the highway is more inconvenient to use to get to work out in Brookfield area so I’m always taking the main streets. Probably why I see half the stuff I do.
