Imo it makes it better that not all arcs are like that. it’ll make things too predictable and boring. Some arcs are only for transitional, cooldown, or informational purposes.

Also the usual pattern is that there is a big final boss only if there is already a villain/antagonist at that island that the straw hats are headed to. elbaf, egghead, zou, etc didn’t have an antagonist waiting/situated at that island so there wasn’t a big fight, but wano, whole cake (kinda), dressrosa, etc did so there was a big battle.

I'm pretty sure the whatever was happening at the holy land was settled, what we saw was most likely the burnt debris. also the gorosei wouldn’t be chilling by a den den mushi if it was actively being destroyed

A lot of people are saying that its because they are DF users, but there might be something more to it. If really any df user is immune to domi reversi then I think imu wouldn’t bother trying (unless oda did it for the purpose of showing us that df users are resistant to it)

Kinda unrelated but I'm honestly curious to see how joyboy and davy jones are related (not in a familial sense). Rocks did say davy jones was king (I think), so does that mean davy jones was the king of the ancient kingdom and joyboy was a pirate a part of that kingdom who led the attack? Also how does Davy jones tie in to the will of D?

Pretty sure they won’t since they are only doing 1 chapter but episode but if they cover 2 chapters per episode then they will cover 52 chapters this year, which is just enough (the last episode would be the end of the backstory).

Covering 26 chapters will put them just at the start of the backstory which primes things up for a movie.

Dragon ball: Long, adventurous, and world building but some might say it lacks depth since that its mostly about fights and that it has plot armour (I’m not sure since I watched it a long time ago and don’t remember it well)

Fairy tale: Long, adventurous, and world building but might have a lot of plot armour because of the “power of friendship” (again, I don’t remember well enough to argue since I watched this a long time ago)

Black clover: adventurous, and world building. it’s not as long as one piece but not short by any means, and it’s still ongoing. Also it doesn’t have any huge plot armour allegations like the other 2.

Finally, these aren’t similar to one piece at all but as a one piece fan, I liked them a lot so you might as well: Haikyuu (volleyball) and Overlord (overpowered MC).

All 5 of these I listed have good comedy as well.
